I do not know whether this is the same Joe Kendra who lived in the Nicetown section of Philadelphia (off Germantown Avenue), who attended Saint Ladislaus School and Church and who made a good playmate in basketball at the Nicetown Boys Club just across the street from Simon Gratz High School more than a half century ago. In either instance I extend my sincere sympathy to the Kendra family in the loss of Joe. May he now "Requiescat in Pace,, Rest in Peace".
