Joseph E. Kraus was the best grandfather anyone could ask for. Growing up he always helped me with my math (multiplication tables) and he helped me improve alot. He would come over and we would cook cheese omelets, those were the best omelets I've ever tasted still till this day. Him and my grandmother loved taking me out places to eat, the mall, just about anywhere. You will be missed very much but now your in a better place. I love you poppop, we all do! You will never be forgotten.

Love always and forever,
Michelle (Shell my bell) <3

Dear Anne and family, we remember some of the stories Uncle Joe used to tell about growing up in South Philly with our dad Matt,Joe's cousin!! The two of them are having a reunion in heaven!! God bless!! Mike Kraus & Family.

Uncle Joe and I shared a love of old movies and trivia. He would always call and ask me the hardest questions. Once, he asked me the name of a character actor and when I got it right, he nicknamed me "Pangborn". He always called me that. I remember coming to visit in Rhode Island and North Jersey. He was always so happy to see his family. In recent years, when Uncle John and I would come to the townhouse it always amazed me that he would set out a spread of appetizers and goodies that he made on a moment's notice. He made the best blueberry pies. He and my mother would always compare recipes. "Top Chef" had nothing on them! Aunt Anne, Joey, John and Katherine, I will miss Uncle Joe but I am happy in knowing that he is reunited with his family, he missed them so much.
With love,
niece Susan ("Pangborn")

What can I say about our dear Uncle Joe. Everytime we went to visit he always had a story to tell about the time when he was in the navy and growing up with my mom. Those were some funny stories. He told me about the Norman Rockwell painting he printed at Curtis.
Everytime I saw a painting I thought of him. He even enjoyed looking at the calendar of prints I would send him.
When he could, he loved to cook. I remember his baked beans. Who would have thought that as a boy when he knocked over an icebox containg baked beans, he would grow up famous for making them.

Notre Dame was his football team. He would never miss a game. Putting other things aside just to watch it.

Uncle Joe you will be missed by many of your friends and family.
We are blessed for having known you.

I know we have an angel in heaven watching over us.

We'll miss you!

Love your neice Mary and nephew Joe.
