JOSEPH F., D.O., July 24, 2011. Devoted husband of Bernardine (nee Trippetti), beloved father of Bernardine, Joseph (Rochelle), Christopher (Lisa), Michael (Anna) and Monica Pandolfi, loving brother of Dr. Ralph Pandolfi, son-in-law of Rita Trippetti, loving grand-father of Nicole, Francis, Joseph, III, Christopher and Nicholas. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing Thursday eve. 6 to 9 P.M. and Fri. 9 to 10 A.M. from BALDI FUNERAL HOME, 1331 S. Broad St. (ample parking on premises). Funeral Mass will follow Viewing Fri. 10:30 A.M. St. Monica Church, 17th and Ritner Sts. Ent. Holy Cross Cem.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph's Preparatory School, c/o Joseph F. Pandolfi, D.O. Scholarship Fund, 1733 West Girard Ave., Phila. PA 19130.

"Dockie" was always one of my favorite people and I will always treasure the wonderful memories of my four years as an assistant coach at Penn and the fun we would have at your home. Bernie,any time I return to Phialdelphia to see a game, I always have a pleasant thought of my friend, "Dockie" and it invaribly brings a smile to my face. Bernie and family,
You are in the thoughts and prayers of all of us.
Doc was a complex and wonderful person. I will always remember him both for his passion and his humanity.
He had a heart as big as the Palestra and was a source of strength and counsel throughout the time I knew him.
I am so grateful that Doc and your entire family took this nomad into your world.
Many people's lives were brighter and better for Doc and you guys having been a part of them. I count myself among those fortunate enough to have spent time laughing, arguing and cheering in his presence.
I know Doc will be remembered and missed by so many of us.

When word was received Dwynne and I were schocked for Doc is one who we thought will be here forever and ever --a tribute to what he expressed and the give back to all was the trait remembered --Sitting in 'his Palestra seat' for all those years --now empty and many will look and say -'that was Docs seat' 'of honor' He did much for those of us who coached in the Big Five leaning to Penn but a 'true fan'
Thanks to Doc and Bernie we were given the green light to be on 'the in' with Chef Vola's -- which we had no knowledge of --but till this day Joe and Louise 'always' pour us an after dinner liquer --Coach! - Doc Pandolfi left this for you --I mean always --
and the Greenhouse with 'the locals'
while not seeing Doc and Bernie for a spell - however upon our arrival this August 'Margate] some where we'll make a 'toast' to the Doc and all he stood for and his concern for 'the other' guy
Hang tough -this is not an easy time -but all we survive in time even with absence of Doc

Mrs. Pandolfi and Family,
I can not express in words the sorrow that I feel. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Doc was such an iconic figure in my life and the life of so many. He holds a place in my life and my heart that NO ONE will ever replace. I will never forget siging Sinatra songs at the top of our lungs on our way to Waldron Football games. I only wish that my son and daughter were able to experience his persona. Doc, Please say Hi to Big Dom and tell him I love him and miss him. I'm sure you two are already breaking 'em for someone. We will miss Dr. Joe's stories about the old days at St. Joe's Prep, singing the SJP fight song in my kitchen, hearing him recite Latin declensions 50 years hence and trips to Malvern. He was relentless when he was on a mission to help someone through a difficult problem....His office was like his home and hospitality and friendship were his trademarks - especially on New Year’s Day when he opened his home so that many could share in the warmth of his family on a cold day.
He was truly a "Man for Others"
