Judy was always the caregiver, she was such a good samaritan and role model. Although she didn't have a drivers license - that never seemed to stop her! Memories like that have to make you smile!!! We're sad for our lose but I'm sure Leonard, Jimmy, Terrence and Michael are doing a jig! We have you all in our daily prayers Kath, Joan, Kevin and Maureen - and all of the McGillian clan. We miss you all terribly and hugs go to you all! Love, Breeze, Maureen and Dixie Young

Dear McGillian Family,

Thank you all for sharing Judy with me. Judy lived a great life, a caring, generous, strong, kind spirited woman; and like all of us I have such fond memories of her over my lifetime. I am especialy privileged and grateful to have spent time with her in these past months. I will forever cherish that and never forget her. We will all miss her. It is bittersweet - she leaves us and remains in spirit and joins Leonard, Jimmie, Michael and Terrence in Heaven.

Judy's Funeral Mass was so beautiful!

My Deepest Regards,

Pauline

Kevin, Joan, Kathleen, Maureen and all the grandchildren:

Words cannot express the loss that has transpired this past week. Judy was a wonderful person, full of love, kind to all and wanting nothing in return for her kindness, but a good deed. The door was always open, kettle on the fire and you could be sure that a stiff nip or a cup would be on the table before you could blink an eye.

Though she didn't drive, she was a wealth of information, which was passed on by the telephone or a visitor, and we will miss her passing this on to us.

I know there is a deep void in our lives, and I am sure this is shared by many. We will miss her so very much, since the bond between us was strong and silent.

I sure hope you are up there raising the biggest ruckus of all.

May God be with you, and with those who will continue your legacy.

Margie and all the Sheedy family.

Judy was "Mom-mom" to so many of the extended Conran family. We will all keep her dearly in our hearts... right next to Leonard. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Dear Family of Wonderful Judy:

How often over the years we have mentioned Judy's name! I believe one of Judy's first invitations to be of service in caring for others in their homes was Frank's Father (Poppy Frank). Judy would come to his home in Glenside every day and how Poppy loved her in his very own special way. Each day she would dial our home on the telephone, give the phone to Poppy - he would say his few words - and drop the 'phone and say, "Here Judy"!!!. How good she was for him!
She knew exactly how to handle him!!!

Judy often recounted to us Poppy Frank's last day on this earth. She said she was in his room standing in front of him as he lay in his bed. He said to her, "Judy, move over. Move over. Betty is coming." He then put a smile on his face and very shortly thereafter he died. Judy said it was the most eerie thing she had ever experienced. She said, "He saw Betty. It was as if Betty came to lead him home." Nanny Betty was Poppy's wife. Judy said I will never forget that moment. Often when I'd see her she would recount that story.

All I can say now is that Judy has been welcomed by a multitude of family and friends "up there" - leading the line being Leonard and her beloved children, but so many of those she loved and cared for are close behind. Poppy Frank is probably toward the end of a very long line, but I know he is "there". How good Judy was to him over the many years that he was in her care.

Judy, may you be enjoying bountifully the reward you have reaped over a lifetime of love and service to so many.

Family and Friends of Judy - our loss is Heaven's gain. May God give us all God's peace.

Judy, if every person you know and every person you've ever helped were to "do a good deed and pass it on," what a wonderful year this would be....

To all the McGillian family, I can't find the words to express how I felt when I read Maureen's message on Friday. Judy and Leonard were amazing people...both are bigger than words! I know it will be difficult for all of you without her. I can only envision, however, how wonderful it is for their two spirits to be together again! I can't imagine my childhood without my "Mt. Carmel memories." I recall how Judy could make me smile and laugh, at times when she wasn't even trying to be funny. I will never forget her presence at my dad's funeral...commenting on all our "freebies." I remember thinking how much my dad would have enjoyed her remarks! I'm sure he and Leonard were "up there" laughing!!! Memories can be so therapeutic. I hope you can draw on a lifetime of those wonderful memories as you move forward...
