Julia Fowler Obituary

FOWLER


JULIA B. (nee Basala) of Normandy Farms Estates, formerly of North Woods, PA, died at age 83 on Nov. 19, 2004 of respiratory failure. She is survived by her husband Conrad Fowler; 2 daughters Janet Grey and Deborah Rollins; and 4 grandaughters Jennifer Grey, Kimberly Soule, Alex Rollins, and Emily Rollins; and one great grandson Colin Soule. Born in Berwick, PA, she worked for the Army Supply Corps in Richmond, VA before her marriage in Nov. 1945. After devoting early years raising her children, she worked as a volunteer at the North Penn Hospital (now Central Montgomery) in Lansdale. She was active with the Como Questers in Springfield Township and the Erdenheim Womens Club. She and her husband devoted many of their vacations to cruising including one around South America for their 50th wedding anniversary. She was an active member of the Abington Baptist Church, at one time receiving the Mother of the Year Award, until joining the Baptist Temple in Blue Bell. Funeral Services will be held at the Baptist Temple on Rt. 73 in Blue Bell at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, Nov. 30. Interment will follow at West Laurel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Tuesday from 9:30AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be sent to Baptist Temple, P.O. Box 122, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
