SMITH

KEVIN M., 34, on August 23, 2016, of Newtown Square PA. Beloved son of Kevin and Joanne Smith; loving brother of Colin (Megan) Smith and Matthew (Sarah) Smith; grand-son of the late John and Betsy Smith, James and Margie Potts. He is survived by his nieces, Cassidy and Delaney; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Saturday, 9:30 A.M., and to his Funeral Mass, 11 A.M., St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square PA 19073. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Contributions to Beatty Hall/Elwyn, 111 Elwyn Road, Media PA 19063, would be appreciated by the family.

Mr and Mrs smith, I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Kevin. I was out of the country and didn't learn about until Sunday. I thought it was a mistake. I will dearly miss Kevin and the countless times he had you sing ba ba black sheep. he was a young man that knew what he wanted and was well loved at Beatty. He had the most wonderful giving parents that any could want.I can't imagine how you must feel but I hope God fills the deepest sorrow and pain that you may have. May God strengthen both of you.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Kevin once at his g-mother's funeral and one hot summer morning, when Kevin's dad wheeled him up Bay Ave., and paid a visit - a memorable one I might add. Kevin and my son Michael were classmates at Elwyn PreSchool and had many happy times in a loving place that supported our precious children. Kevin was so loved by so many people...his family, his teachers, his friend and many others during his time on earth. May Kevin find peace and joy in his heavenly home. This has been the saddest week of our family lives as we give the child who came into our extended family to teach us all life lessons. Without uttering a word we learned love, patience, humor, acceptance, the joy of music and so much more I cannot put into words.His parents also taught us great lessons as they went thru each day giving him the utmost care for 34 years.As we process this great loss we know Kev's resting in God's Glory among his loved one's who went before him. We were Blessed to meet his amazing teachers at Elwyn over the years. What love and care they give their students. We thank them and want them to know they are appreciated. Kevin was Blessed with two brothers who gave Him the love and laughter any sibling could share. I feel Honored to call him my God Child. I am a better person because of the lessons you shared. We will miss you more than you know. Rest in Peace as you live on in our Hearts.
