Lawrence O'Brien Obituary
LAWRENCE "LARRY", 51 years of age, passed away on Oct. 15, 2007, of Thornton PA, formerly of Havertown PA. Beloved husband of Linda A. (nee Ginter); loving father of Michael L., Laura L. and Julia A. O'Brien; dear son of Eileen A. O'Brien (nee Dougherty) and the late James C. O'Brien; grandfather of Jaydin C. Knight; brother of Jim (Nancy), Kathey Klug (Paul), Kevin (Monika), Denis (Carolyn) and Kelly Madden (Dan); also survived by his in-laws, Frank and Olga Ginter; Frank (Sue) Ginter, Michele (Steve) Spaeder, Andrew (Ginny) Ginter, Jen (Dom) Petrocelli and the late Tommy Ginter. Relatives, friends and employees of Lobec Inc. are invited to his Funeral Mass Friday, 10:30 A.M., St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Chester Heights PA. Int. Calvary Cem., W. Conshohocken PA. Calling hours Thursday eve 6 to 9 P.M. and Friday 8:30 to 9:30 A.M., THE DONOHUE FUNERAL HOME, 1627 WEST CHESTER PIKE (COR. OF HILLTOP RD.), WESTTOWN-WEST CHESTER PA. (610)431-9000. Linda,
I am sorry I missed the funeral. I was in Philly for a wedding, and heard about Larry. Our plane got in Thursday night late and on Friday, Jo got the time wrong. I started out late and got lost twice. When I got to the church everyone was exiting. I am sorry for your loss and sorry I missed seeing you. Please give your parents my love and best wishes.

Linda, we haven't crossed paths in many years, bu I remember the sorrow when your brother Tommy passed away, and will pray that your extended family will again provide support and strength that is needed during this time of sadness.

Larry touched our lives in such a positive way as I am sure he touched so many lives. He had a great zest for life and made sure to share it with all he encountered. When he met and dated my dear friend Linda he became my friend as well. I have many great memories of Larry and Linda and their family and I pray that their memories will help comfort them. Even at the worst of times he found a way to help me smile. When I would speak to Larry the main topic was always Linda, Michael, Laura, Julia and Jaydin of course. He always expressed how fortunate he felt to have them. I know you all will miss him but keep those memories close and know he will remain in your hearts forever. I know you will draw upon each other and loved ones for strength and I hope you know to contact me if you need anything.

Larry was a year ahead of me at Annuciation. No matter when Father Graham needed someone to help out, Larry and his friends were there. The O'Brien family was an institution in the Annunciation Parish family. To the O'Brien family I extend my deepest sympathies and prayers. Heaven is much brighter now. God bless all of you for strength and guidance.

Dear Linda, Michael, Julia, Laura, Jaydin, Chris & family…
I know how important Larry was in all your lives, but all of you were very important in his life, too! Remembering that will give you the courage and strength to carry on your lives, as you know Larry would have wanted you to do!

Please accept our deepest sympathies. Larry did a lot of electrical work at the Monell Center and was always there for us, rain or shine and gave 200% to the job. He was a trusted colleague and all of us at Monell will truly miss him. Bless you

Linda and Family,
We will miss Larry very much. He was such a character, bringing fun and happiness into our lives, as well as inspiration and support. Growing up, Larry always was apart of my life, whether it was fixing an electronic gadget of mine or decorating Annunciation Church for Christmes, providing opportunities to work for LOBEC when I was in College and even times water skiing in Sea Isle or just haning out at the Venetian Isle House. He truely was a great Cousin & Mentor.

Our prayers are with you now, I have such great childhood memories of Larry--his oldest sister and I were more than likely a source of amusement to him, but I'm going to let Kathey answer for that! Although our paths did not cross as much in the later years - we will always hold close to our hearts the fun and laughter we enjoyed with one another. Larry I always chuckle when I think of you on the ski lift saying "this gum is GREAT!" You will be soooo missed! Love you Buddy.....
