Although I was not fortunate to cordially meet you, I am fully aware that you were a wonderful human being. That among many other great things. Words can not explain the deep sorrow I feel for you and your family. Leslie was a wonderful person with kind heart and an infectious giggle.
Leslie was my first BFF. I still smile at the memories of our "shows" in your basement that your brothers and sister had to sit through and of course your mom's awesome ham sandwiches!
Although we grew apart over the years, when we did see each other it was like coming home. Leslie would always "quickly" bring me up to speed on her sons, your parents, your siblings and of course you. She loved her family and was so proud of what each person had accomplished. She was your (collectively) biggest fan!
We will all miss Leslie. She has touched so many people in her short time on earth with her kindness and smile.
Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was noticing the abundance of cars at your home and didn't know why - thinking it was just a summer party until my son Steve filled me in yesterday. We both share losses this year as my 20 year old son had passed away earlier in March.

By reading all these messages I see that Leslie was not only nice to me but to every person that she met. I know that she loved her boys dearly and she was very proud of both of them. It is hard to believe that she is gone but I am sure her presence is in each of us who knew her.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family, especially her sons, Anthony and Angelo. Leslie was one of my best friends, she was a beautiful person, with a heart of gold. I never heard her say an unkind word about anyone. She was a loving, caring, fun person to be around, who enjoyed life, and lived it to the fullest. She was just taken to soon. I can't tell you how shocked and saddened I was to learn of Leslie's death. My heart goes out to you and your family.
A little story to lighten the moment....As we grew up and went our various ways I ended working at McNeil (as you know). At McNeil I went from being known as Robbie Schlegel to Rob Schlegel at work. I was Rob Schlegel for many years. Then one day my admin assisant handed me some invoices and said here ya go Robbie with a smirk on her face. I gave her a weird look and wondered why she called me that. Long story short, Leslie would assign my invoices to Robbie Schlegel. I made a quick phone call to see who was behind writing the invoices and referring to mer as Robbie and heard a familiar voice and laugh from the past on the other end of the line. Anyway, at the time it was very funny and now half my work associates call me Robbie. So much for growing-up.
I wish you all the best during the tough time.
Leslie will remain in our hearts and will always be missed!
