Lewis was a friend of over 50 years, and we shared many interests; one of those being his interest in the Shakers; we traveled to NYC on occasion to attend a reception for Sister Mildred Barker of the Sabbathday Lake Shakers in Maine held at the Museum of American Folk Art. He was a most gracious host at his beautiful home on Mt. Vernon St., in Philadelphia. He was generous to his friends and extremely proud of his family heritage.
