MALCOLM JOSEPH, 85, on Oct. 24, 2014. Beloved husband of 59 years to Edith T. Ford; father of Malcolm J. Ford Jr. (Kathy) and Darryl J. Ford (Gail Sullivan) and grandfather of Malcolm Joshua, Jameson and Lucas Ford. A Philadelphia, Malcolm was a proud graduate of Benjamin Franklin High and Shaw University where he majored in Education and played varsity football and baseball. Malcolm earned his masters in educational administration at Antioch University and principal certification at Penn State. He taught at Bryant, Stoddart-Fleisher and the Cato School where he later served as principal. Malcolm was director of the Philadelphia Office of the National Teacher Corps and director of the Career Opportunity Program in Philadelphia. In addition to three decades of work in school, Malcolm was an entrepreneur. In 1969, he opened Heritage Pieces, his antique shop on Germantown Avenue. After retirement from the school system, he established Ambiance Limousine Service. A man of interests, Malcolm was a licensed auctioneer, and , most recently, enjoyed flipping artwork. In addition to his immediate family, he will be missed by countless relatives and friends.
