MARGARET HOLMES Obituary
MARGARET "PEGGY" ELIZABETH, age 84, passed away on January 31, 2016. Peggy was the loving daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret Stewart. A lifelong Philadelphia resident, she was raised in Germantown and Mt. Airy and when married settled into Holmesburg and Mayfair. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years Atkinson "Ackie" Holmes. She is survived by her children Marge Holmes of Havertown, Susan Dudt of Hiram, Georgia and Jim Holmes of Downingtown and their spouses; 8 grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, Anna and Jessica Dudt and Ryan, Jamie, Joshua and Meghann Holmes; sister Martha Kleponis, and several nieces and nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family Thursday, February 4, 2016, from 1 to 3 P.M. and 5 to 7 P.M. at LAMBIE FUNERAL HOME, 8000 Rowland Avenue (At Rhawn Street). Her service will follow at 7:00 P.M. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Washington Crossing National Cem. on Friday at 9:30 A.M.
