Jim - I just wanted to share my condolences with you and your family. I remember Marilyn very well when she was always at courtside watching you and I battle it out in Middle States tournaments. She was an incredibly strong and vibrant woman and she shared my Father's passion for collecting tennis memorabilia and will be missed. My prayers are with you. Alec Monaghan

Ellen,
It has been years since our paths have crossed on the courts, but when I heard about your mother's recent passing, I just wanted to write and offer my condolences to you and your brothers. I remain so appreciative of all the contributions your parents made to Philadelphia Tennis. I hope you find comfort in the many happy memories and the support of family and friends still surrounding you. My sincere sympathy, Steffie Wright Crowther

Please accept my sincere sympathy to the family. I was one of the Lower Moreland High School guys who did some yard work in 1971. Long before leaf blowers. Marilyn was ahead of her time and a memorable person to know.

My deepest sympathy to the family. I have had the pleasure of working for and with Marilyn and Ed for years. Oh the parties they had at their house! A fun loving woman and such a flair she had for entertaining! We will all remember her and love all the fond memories! With deepest sympathy, Harriet Sillman from Moonstruck Restaurant.

So sorry to hear of Marilyn's passing. The toughest, fairest, and most inspiring person in my career. The more she pushed me, the more I knew she loved me, and later on, my family. I loved to hear Edward yelling, "Flewwwww!!!!," and I will never forget my annual turkey soup and holiday dinners with our US Pro Indoor gang. The two of you are together again, as it should be! Love from the Shipons
