Age 91, of Hatboro, formerly of East Oreland in Upper Dublin Twp. PA, died Wed., March 29, 2017, at her home. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Joseph E. Lavery; mother of Joseph E. Lavery, Jr. (Margaret) and Joyce E. Lavery. Grand-mother of William Sterling Lavery. Marion grew-up in Lawndale, graduated from Philadelphia Girls' H.S., Penn. Hospital School of Nursing as a U.S. Cadet Nurse during WWII, and from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Nursing Education. During her years at Pennsylvania Hospital she was a staff and head nurse, supervisor, and clinical instructor. During her children's elementary school years, she was a volunteer at the Sandy Run Schools. She was an Upper Dublin School Nurse from 1974-1982 at Three Tuns Jr. High & St. Alphonsus School; from 1982 to 1993 at The Upper Dublin High School. She remained a member of Christ's Lutheran Church where she held several volunteer positions until she moved from Oreland.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Graveside Service on Wed., April 5, 2017, at 11 A.M., at Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn PA. Donations may be made in her memory to Christ's Lutheran Church, 700 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Oreland, PA 19075.
