I fell out of touch with Matt about 20 years ago and found his obituary via a google search. This was a punch to the stomach for me. Matt was a good friend and we hung out many times in the 90's. We would blow up each others beepers all day long..lol. So sad to find this out. Rest in peace my friend.

Matty, I knew when I met you in 2012 that even with some sadness in your heart, you were a good guy and a great friend to many. You had a beautiful soul and a big heart. I was blessed to have known you. I will always remember your smile, that swag walk, your great ice coffee blends, laughing hysterically at Cin Cin and your "Hello NJL." We were alike in so many ways surviving the daily grind of Corporate America, although we always found the time to escape, taking in the beauty of life, capturing moments and memories. I knew something was terribly wrong when I didnt get my "Happy Birthday Norma Jean" text. You were always the 1st text. I will always remember your sweet loving personality, our conversations, our laughs and our friendship. Rest in peace - NJL

I just heard today the passing of Matthew, I felt a wave of sadness. He was such a good friend to me and always let me cry on his shoulder. We worked together over 20 years ago but today it seems like just yesterday we had our daily chats, what a great guy he was and would do anything to help someone in need. I am truly shocked hearing this news. Matt, I know you are resting now and you will be missed, you will always be in my prayers.
