MICHAEL JOSEPH DOWNES

DOWNES MICHAEL JOSEPH Passed away on March 23, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Deborah Marion (nee Powers); devoted father of Michael Joseph Downes and Kevin Patrick Downes (Amy Diane); dear brother of Dorothy M. Prendergast and the late Elizabeth Phillips and Kathleen Fox; loving grandpop of Carly Diane, Michael William, and Ryan Joseph Downes. He is also survived by 31 nieces and nephews. Michael, who was also known as Joe, served in both the Navy and Army. He was a longtime employee of the Budd Company serving as Vice President of UAW Local 1287 Office Chapter for many years. He also worked for the DRJTBC until his retirement. He was a devout Catholic. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Saturday, April 6, 2024, 10:00 A.M. at St. Hilary of Poitiers Church, 820 Susquehanna Rd., Rydal, PA 19046, followed by Funeral Mass, 11:00 A.M. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
