MICHAEL PATRICK, age 17, March 22, 2008. Beloved son of Patricia (nee McCormick) and Frank R. Loving brother of Trish, Frank M., Kate and Karley. Grandson of Mary (nee McGee) Marino, Joseph Marino, Walter J. Souza and Frances P. McCormick. Great grandson of Cass McCormick. Uncle of Andrew, Jayden and Aliya. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing Wed. Eve. 7 to 9 and Thursday 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. from BALDI FUNERAL HOME, 1331 S. Broad St. (ample parking on premises). Funeral Mass 10 A.M. Thursday Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 3rd and Wolf Sts. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cem. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Neumann-Goretti High School, 1736 S. 10th St., Phila., PA 19148 in c/o The Michael Souza Scholarship Fund.

Dear Patty & Family,
I am truly sorry for your loss. I just found out that Michael has past away and I was deeply sadden. Michael was a fantastic kid. He tried to live life to the fullest. Even with all his health issues he still managed to keep his sense of humor. Patty you gave him everything you had and much more. You were a wonderful mother to him. Just keep him in you heart & try to remember he is at peace with God. He is watching over all of you. My dad will take good care of him.

michael. today was your funeral there are no words to describe how much you are going to be missed. you were an angel on earth and a hero to everyone who knew you. you always had a smile on your face and was always there to brighten up someones days. i am going to miss seeng you and your smile soo much. your in a better place now. please watch over your family they really need your help right now. you will forever be loved and missed !

patty we've only met a couple of times through my husband Johnny and my mother-in-law Dot who works at Acme,but i can't even imagine the loss of a child yet alone one that fought so hard and long ,the only consolation is that his and your suffering in watching him fight is over. i do know that watching him fight must have been awful . bless you and your family at this time and the future

I never had the pleasure of meeting your son/brother/uncle Michael. But I certainly have had the pleasure of knowing him through my daughter Anabel. I know how much he meant to her and much about the relationship they had with each other. Anabel spoke only of his kindness and great sense of humor. Please accept our condolences on the loss of Michael. My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting him when he asked my daughter Katie to his hop. He was a very polite and courteous young man. It's never possible to put into words the feelings of grief and sadness at the passing of such a young and well loved person. Michael touched so many lives with his courage and likeable nature. A man is judged by the difference he made while on this earth. Michael will FOREVER be remembered by the MANY people who's lives have been blessed and made better by his time with us. Dear Frankie and Family,
I was so saddened to hear of Michael's passing. I only met him once, but he made quite an impression on me. My daughter, Megan, attended highschool with him, and she loved him from the moment she met him. He was truly an angel on earth and he will be sadly missed. Michael was truly an inspiration to everyone at school. He was such a great kid and I know that I had the priviledge to have someone like him in my life. Through it all Michael was always smiling, laughing, and cracking jokes. He will always have a special place in my heart. I believe Michael is up watching down on us as we prepare for graduation. Although he may not be there at our Graduation Ceremony but i know that he will be in the presence of everyone's hearts. Michael was someone who was truly lovedd and i know will be truly missed. To the Family of Michael: I'm sorry for you're loss, and all the pain that you have to endure. Surely, this is one wound that will not heal quickly for anyone. Although it's been a long time since we've even seen each other, I know that Michael is the same amazing person I knew when we were in St Aloysius together. I was very saddened to hear about Michael. He graduated with my nephew at Mt Carmel. I remember him from all the awards he got at the 8th grade graduation what a smart boy. He was an angel on earth and will be an angel in heaven.

We are so hear of such a young life lost. I will always remember Michael playing outside for only a short time with the kids and then heading back in to play video games. He wa a great kid and will be missed deeply.
