Murray's communication and presence with callers on his radio program was that of an enlightened illuminating energy in the Philadelphia area, amplifying the higher consciousness of various paths many of us take for granted today - known as the perennial wisdom of the ages. Not only did Murray "know" this wisdom, but he, as he would say, "grokked" it, too. I listened to his programs for decades broadcast on Philadelphia stations WHYY and WWDB. Listening to him counsel others was a growth experience in learning how to "hear" another. I remember how Murray's ability to hear the person behind the called-in voice extended to the silence between words and the "energy," as he would say, he could feel in the voiced communication. His contribution to helping others through such listening , providing space for deep communication from one's soul and painful places, and dialogue was a gift of enlightening proportions to the Delaware Valley.
I cried learning of Murray's passing upon looking up his name on the internet this evening. May his name and connections with others be a blessing to pass on in the same spirit. Thank you Anne for sharing your husband with us.

Murray's memory lives on in our family. He was, and continues to serve as a guide in our lives. Things Murray said to us comes up in conversations between my Wife and I, and between us and our adult children. Murray was and continues to be a blessing in our lives.

We just learned of Murray's passing. We are so saddened. He was a beacon in our lives during challenging times. I loved his wisdom as I tuned into his radio show back in the 80's. I learned how to rise above a difficult situation. Since then I would visit his office now and then to get what I call a tune-up, to rise above any obstacles. I'll always be thankful to him.

I can't fully express the loss I feel learning of Murray's passing only today. My deepest condolences to all of the Needleman family. I knew Murray as a friend and medical colleague for 20 years but hadn't spoken with him in little more than a year. I was looking to call him today, only to be heart-struck at the news.
He had been an important source of support after my own wife's passing in 2013. He will be missed and remembered.

Dear Anne,
I am sorry for your loss. My first job as a producer at 96.5 WWDB was for the Murray Needleman show @ 10 PM following as Dr Needleman would say, "SSSSSSSSSSinatra". I was really nervous as radio was live and any mishaps would be magnified 10-fold. I could not think of a better individual to help ease my nerves than Dr. Murray Needleman. His calm demeanor was paramount to my success at learning the job during his show shifts. What a great individual he was and I am honored to have known and worked with him.

Dear Anne,
Bob and I moved to Massachusetts in 2016 so I just learned about Murray's passing and am deeply saddened by this news. I will always remember Murray as larger than life because he always inspired me to be my best, positive self. I spent many years with Bob coming to the Yardley office you both shared. In fact, Murray told us he cherished the pocket protector on his office wall that was a gift from Bob to remind him of years as an engineer. We all had a good laugh together. May his memory be a blessing for all. Eileen & Bob Wolfe

I'm so sorry to hear, I was just thinking about him and decided to google what he's up to. I use to listen to Murray often on the talk show. I came to visit him once, and was so impress with the info he gave me. Just one meeting, and I felt he was terrific. So sorry, please rest in peace Murray, glad to have had the chance to meet. God Bless, forever. Laura Castellucci, Deptford NJ

I just found out about Murray's passing by accident...I was wondering if he was still in practice so I Googled his name and a shock ran thru me instantly. Murray was a big part of my life for about 10 years. After hearing his mellow voice on the radio for quite awhile and how he handled situations and people I knew he was right for me. I would sometimes leave his office so content and peaceful it allowed me to pass it on. He was such a loving, caring person and full of wisdom and charisma. My heart and prayers go out to Ann and the family. Please rest in Peace Murray, my wife Debbie, my son Jordan, and I love you.
