I will always remember Myrna, she was one of those truly unforgettable people that cross our path in life. I worked in the yachting industry for many years, and Myrna started as a customer and later became a friend. I can remember so many times receiving a static filled high-seas radiotelephone call from her, from some far off spot, looking for a part or some technical advice, she always made my day with her wit and unique energy. Lunching on Sintra's beautiful deck, beneath a white sunshade, in Palm Beach, was really the last glimmer of true "Yachting" I ever saw. She was a true original, and one I will never forget. Message sent dec. 2014 via other site.. in case Martin, Lindy, Tina, Craig, Jay and Dobbie ever read such a long time afterward....

This is JP (Jean-Philippe). While visiting recently my mom in Cannes, I did an Internet search to see if Sintra was part of the Royal Regattas being held there. It is then I found out that Myrna had passed away in May. I want to express to you how truely saddened I am. More so as the once-in-a lifetime moments spent on Sintra with Myrna and you Martin weigh to this day so powerfully in my heart and shape my everyday life. Myrna was an exceptional "purser whose caring, generosity and love of life touched indelibly forever those that crossed her path, leaving a wake that never vanishes. Thanks 33 years ago to a stormy day off Gibraltar Straits, fate offered me the opportunity to be the crew of an exceptional ship and capitan made more unique by the person Myrna was and continues to be forever.
Please believe Martin, that although our ships may have since set different courses that never cross, Myrna and you are very much in my thoughts.
With much heart and friendship
JP

I can't believe she is gone. Myrna was special beyond words can describe. What a personality. An unquenchable thirst for the adventure side of life. You always knew when Myrna entered the room. She was one of a kind. I consider myself fortunate to know her, to be a friend and to love her. My love and prayers go out to Martin, to Dobbie, to the children, the grandchildren, the nieces and nephews, and the entire family. I only wish I could be at the service to hug you all and to share your tears.
