Nancy Wallace

Wallace Nancy July 21, 1931 - March 13, 2025 Nancy Wallace's life was filled with love and affection for her large family and all those who knew her. She graced our presence for 93 years and passed away at Brooke Grove Assisted Living where she was cared for by an amazing group of staff and health professionals who helped make her last year's worthwhile. Nancy loved her 5 girls, her 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, cooking, bridge, Raisinettes, Yatzee and books - not necessarily in that order! She was the mom our friends went to with their problems because she was a good listener and gave good advice. We shared her with everyone else, but she made the biggest impact on our lives and the lives of our families. Cathy, Susan, Sharon, Lesley and Lisa- her girls were what she was most proud of. She let everyone know, over and over again (eye roll), how amazing she thought we were. Nancy grew up in Portland, Maine and moved to New York City after college where she met Richard "Dick" Wallace. Within 6 months they were married and living in Bronxville, NY, then Scotch Plains, NJ and finally Rydal, PA.- for over 35 yrs. In 2009 they moved to Sandy Spring, Md to the Brooke Grove Retirement Village to be close to 4 of their girls. Dick passed away in 2011. Nancy was loved by all who knew her. She was a great dancer, a talented artist and cook, always made us special meals when we came to visit, hummed loudly to the music in the grocery store just to bug us, and was the center of our big family. We know she'll be smiling down on us as we share some of her famous blueberry buckle for Sunday brunch
