Remembering Brother Nicholas Sullivan upon the anniversary of his death five years ago.

So sorry I am finding out about this just now. Thought I would leave a note in hopes that others might read it and concur. Through my college years and many beyond that, Brother Nick was a true mentor to me. In fact, he was the only thing that kept me at LaSalle. I made 2 trips to Alaska and 1 to Puerto Rico with him and they were events that I will always remember. Many years later, I visited him with my 2 young sons at the Explorer's Club in Manhattan and that, also, was a day I will not remember. I can only add that, in a world gone mad, this man was always a source of knowledge, clarity, humor and wonder for me. I will miss him.

Brother Nick was a dear friend who I was fortunate to meet as a student at Manhattan College. I did quite a bit of driving for him in the NY and PA area. Got a personalize guide of the Explorers Club in NYC from him when he was president and drank a few Irish whiskeys with him too.
Every year he make a trip to Australia to hunt around in his caves and I have a copy of his book on the subject. We stayed in contact over the years via letters and post cards. He even visited me in Germany and we took a day trip to Salzburg. That evening he commented that my wife's Italian dinner was better than the one he had with the Pope a few weeks before.
Very sorry to see that he has passed. I will always remember him.

The most memorable of my teachers at LaSalle College. Br. Nick was a world traveler and Explorer. He was at home with diplomats and firefighters alike. He was a good friend.

He was a great teacher. He loved digging around in his caves.
