HAVILAND PATRICIA A. Age 73, of Prospect Park, passed away on August 8, 2022. Beloved daughter of Anne M. Haviland and the late Daniel A. Haviland. Dear sister of Deborah Sharkey. Also survived by her 3 nieces Kim Oswald, Kristin Sharkey and Kelly Hippert; her nephew Matt Sharkey and many great nieces and nephews. A graduate of St. Leonard's Academy Class of 1966, Patricia was a life long loyal Philadelphia Flyers fan. She also enjoyed vacationing at the Jersey Shore, needle pointing, reading, and cooking. Patricia was employed by the City of Philadelphia for 25 years, as Executive Assistant to Mayor William J. Green, Executive Assistant to Controller Joseph C. Vignola and Executive Assistant to various Finance Directors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Monday August 22nd from 11:00 A.M. until 1 P.M. at THE CAVANAGH FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, Pa. Interment will be private.

Oh my dearest Aunt Patty. It´s been a long long time since I wrote to you on here. I´m sorry about that. You know how much you are so missed. I really stop to think about how blessed I was to have you as my aunt. You were and still are a treasured gift that I miss, extremely. The fact that I have had 4 of my family members pass away with in months of each other except my pop, is so crazy. We have lost everyone, our entire family because we had a small family, but everyone who was so dear to our hearts, so close to us. It´s just the three of us now. Losing my dad in 2006 I got robbed of that, losing you was painful, losing Nana 4 months after you was painful and than my brother 5 months after Nana, was my brother. That is the one that´s hurting me. I can´t believe we´re still moving, especially mommy. I know that´s what we have to do but it´s not easy. Grief is so strong. Mommy, She is admirable with everything she´s been through. She´s really missing you and Nana. It´s hard. It´s lonely and quiet. We try to keep all of your memories alive. I hope your proud of us.. Please give all of our Angels a kiss and hug from us and tell them we miss them. God Bless You Aunt Patty, I love you xoxo

This was my Aunt Patty in which I have always considered her as my 2nd mom. She was just like a real mom but didn´t have children of her own. But that´s not why I consider her like my 2nd mom, there are many reasons, about 37 years worth of reasons why lol. Obviously I´m not going to explain but all in one, if I had ever needed my aunt Patty for ANYTHING she was ALWAYS there. Just like mom would. I miss her dearly for all the deaths within 5 months of one another I have never gotten to grieve over her. And I know she would not want me to cry all the time or be upset about it for I know she´s so much happier because of her being healthy again up there in heaven and seeing all her old friends and family members. That´s not to say i don´t think about her because I sure do. My mom sister and I keep her memory alive especially on special occasions with her "drink of the day" or some food she would try to finagle with and make, lol mostly dessert. But she was as special to me and I hope she knows how much she is missed and loved. My dear Aunt Patty, please watch over mommy Kim and I . Especially mommy for she´s having a little rough time with you and Nana. But shine light on her and guide us all. TIL we meet again I´ll see you later on the other side, so it´s never goodbye.
