Patty, It's been over 4 years since you passed away. I think about you and miss you every day. You were "one in a million." So funny, so beautiful, so kind and so generous. I have been truly blessed to have had a little sister like you. It is also so sad that you never got to meet your daughter Maggie's identical twin boys, Jack and Chase. You would have adored them as they would have loved you. I know you are in heaven and I hope you are filled with joy and happiness. I miss you so much dear sister Patty. Love, Rosie

365 days gone by without your bright smile and laugh.
Boy I miss them everyday!
So many good memories flood my mind especially the funny one when we were in 2nd grade and flunked our math test abd decided to sign them ourselves lol
Of course a second grader prints and quite largely
I guess we did know our parents would sign Mr. or Mrs.
So we decided to sign them
Mom McDermott and Pop O'Rourke!! What a laugh the nuns must have had although we were reprimanded pretty good.
Partners in crime!
Love and miss you dearly my friend.

I truly believe god put angels on this earth and my Aunt Patty was one of those angels. She brought light and love and happiness into the life of every single person she ever interacted with, from her beautiful children, to the cashier at the grocery store, the homeless person on the street, to the little old ladies carrying their groceries home who she would offer rides to. She even went out of her way to bring the staff at fox chase cancer center some chocolate covered pretzels as a thank you when she was finished with some of her treatments.

Aunt patty, I go on strong and happy because I know you wouldn't have it any other way.

I love you so much,
Colleen

The first time I met Patty, she was 8 years old (I was 17, dating her brother, Kevin) and rolling on the floor of the family's 10th Street home with her younger sister, Tracy. All I could see was a swirl of blond and brown hair, hearing giggles and laughter coming from the tangle of arms and legs. Patty grew into a caring, beautiful woman. Rest in peace, dear Patty. "The love and the laughter will live on long after, all of the sadness and the tears. We'll meet again, my old friend." (Tim McGraw)

Rip beautiful angel

December 26, 2019

Patty was one of the most loving, kind, giving and compassionate women I have known in my life.
She was always the light in the room and I still hear her laughter. I always appreciated her beauty and her decoration of herself. Her physical absence creates a huge void for her family and friends and yet the light she gave will always hold and strengthen us.
With big love and sympathy,

To the entire O'Rourke and Martin family, my sincere condolences. I am grieving alongside of your families. I am grieving the spark, the kindness, the smile, the sense of humor, the generosity, the friend, sister, grandmother, mother and wife for which there can be no substitute. Patty is a person that I'm glad our paths crossed. I always knew that when I was in her company that I would forget my troubles and get happy. Thank you Patty for living a life where the glass was half full.

Patty : I wish you were still here. We'd be together this Christmas laughing, singing, dancing, being silly, exchanging lipsticks, hugging, and verbally stating how much we love one another. We have had so many of these fun and sincere times together. My heart is broken. I am cherishing our memories for comfort. I truly believe you are happy and peaceful now as an angel in heaven. The tears will continue but comfort in knowing I will see you again and knowing you are no longer suffering will help to continue being here without you in a physical state. It's your heartfelt spirit that I will hold on to! Love you forever and ever...Hugs and more hugs and kisses are coming to you, a gorgeous angel n heaven.

Patty and I were colleagues in the Circulation Customer Service Department of the Philadelphia Inquirer & Daily News. I will always remember Patty's radiant smile that could light up the room and the mood. And every St. Patty's Day she would make the rounds in the office offering each of her co-workers an Irish Potato. Patty, you were a bright gem here on earth and now you will be an even brighter gem in Heaven. Go with God my friend.

My dearest first friend
We walked together to kindergarten holding hands,we were little rascals during our grade school years, bigger rascals during High School years.
We sowed our wild oats, we had some gap years then found each other again as young
Mothers.
You have left a void in so many lives with your passing.
No one will ever forget that infectious smile, the laughter, you brought joy to everyone you met.
I am glad your are at peace and i know you will be with us all , watching and protecting your children and grandchildren.
You are definitely known for your lipstick girlfriend, its just your trademark lol.
Until we meet again, my heart will be with you
Fly with the angels
Keep smiling Patty
