I want to offer my deepest condolences for all of Paul's family; you are in my prayers.
I feel so fortunate to have joined Paul and Bob in there Hatboro practice in 1984. Their office was a prime moonlighting position for Will's residents, and so many very prominent physicians had their start there. Additionally, their practice was the starting point for at least 4 other large successful practices in the area. Paul was very respected by the ophthalmic and medical community. He was the Chief of Ophthalmology at Abington Memorial Hospital for nearly 2 decades, and was the president of both the ICOS--a large group of suburban ophthalmologists, and the Ophthalmic Club--a large group of downtown ophthalmologists. He was always on the forefront of new techniques and knowledge. He also took the most difficult part of our field, neuro-ophthalmology, and made it one of his passions. Even after he retired to he continued to attend his namesake conference at Abington Hospital, and was invariably the most knowledgeable physician there.
Paul was not only so intelligent, he was also so caring and fair and altruistic.
He was also very punctual, and always very efficient with his time. He used to routinely leave our office at 4:15 for a 4:30 tennis match, and would change in the car! I chuckle at the possible headline if he was ever in an accident, "prominent local physician found half nude in his car".
Paul will be missed by all of us fortunate enough to have known him, and to have enjoyed his quick wit, his numerous jokes, and his soaring intelligence. God Bless.

Very sad to hear about Dr. Frank. I learned a great deal from him all those years ago. So skilled, intelligent, funny and caring. The practice with his brother Robert was a fantastic place to work. It was fertile ground for some of the best Ophthalmologist in the region early in their careers. It was an honor to be associated with that group of surgeons led by the gifted Paul Frank.
He will be missed by many

We are so shocked and saddened to learn of Dr. Paul´s sudden passing. He was a gentle and humble man who was a giant in his field. His patients and staff adored him. I am so grateful to have known him and to have worked along side him. Deepest sympathies to all he left behind. He will be so terribly missed. Cathy Colt, Roger and Daniel Pomerantz

I have such fond memories of Paul, Marty and my late dad ( Marv) playing indoor and outdoor tennis year round as the Franks were close friends of my parents and so devoted to the sport. Such an accomplished eye surgeon as well. My heartfelt prayers go out to your family.
