I was Paul's Sergeant in the 12th when he 1st got there. I remember how hard he worked and how sure I was that I could count on him to do what I asked him to the right way and the first time. He always had a wonderful smile and was a great guy. I was so sad when I just saw the notice of his passing and I send my sincerest sympathies to his family. Warmly, Jodi Schwarzl

When I learned of Master Chief Paul Morgan's passing I did not have the words. When I commanded 4th Dental Battalion 1989-1991 Paul was an emerging leader in the 14th Dental Company out of Philadelphia. He rose to the rank of Master Chief (E9) in the Navy, a most difficult rank to achieve. Dozens, nay hundreds of Sailors and Marines are the better for Paul's example of honor, courage and commitment. He will remain for all time with eveyone that knew him as a man of great faith, integrity and character.

Paul, I was one of your fortunate Police Academy Classmates. You were a person I decided to be worth emulating. You were always a source of quiet encouragement and understanding to those around you. I loved to run into you. You were one of the most genuine, sincere people I have ever had the fortune to meet~I am grateful to have called you friend~even if we didn't always see each other. Thank You for being YOU~we have been blessed to have experienced you in our lives. You will be sorely missed. Blessings and prayers for peace and acceptance for the loved ones you had to leave behind.

Dear Sue and Morgan Family,
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you, what can I say about your Husband, your Dad, what a kind wonderful man He was, God truly Blessed you. I remember Paul as far back as when thriftway was open,I would sometime drive Paul home with His groceries if we were there shopping at the same time, or sometimes I saw Paul jogging down Richmond Street, I even remember talking with Sue when you left for Dessert Storm and in case I never got the chance to say it Thank You for Serving Out Country. Thank you for being a great police officer you were. The last time I ran into you and Sue was at the Diner in May 2011 I believe your Son had graduated, the smiles on the 2 of your faces. Sue and family God surely Bless you with a wonderful Man, cherish the moments. Keep the faith and God Bless All of You.

Sue, Jason, Jennifer, Stephanie, and Stephen, I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that Paul in no longer with us. I was sitting, thinking how I will miss his sense of humor and how he was so caring and would do anything for anyone. He always kept a party going and was always happy to see everyone. I know that he will always be with us all in spirit, but his presence will truly be missed. He was an awesome dad who always had encouraging words for his children, and an awesome uncle who always made me smile. God Bless all of you and I hope the memories of such an amazing man will comfort you.

To Sue and family,
Not sure if I have to tell you because I am sure you already know. Paul was a special guy. He touched everyone he met in a positive way. I had the pleasure of spending time with Paul and you guys during basketball, softball and baseball and I am proud to say that Paul Morgan has touched my family's life. There are so many stories but I will share one. As my son played baseball for Paul- after each practice they would run sprints (yes Paul had them running at 9yrs old) and Paul would race my son - you know he said - One day your gonna be faster than this old man and beat me.....Paul, I wish there was still time to have that rematch-

My condolences to Paul's family and his numerous friends. Paul was someone who when I first reported to the 14th DENCO in Philly, made me feel like we were longtime friends. He was a great leader even as a DT-2. I was a former Army enlisted Combat Medic in Vietnam, and I knew if I had to go to war, this is a guy I wanted to be with. I was so proud to see you years later as Master Chief, but not surprised by your accomplishment and it is very well deserved for your great work and dedication to the Navy and our country.

I am saddened by the loss of Paul and have comfort in knowing that we have not lost him, we all know exactly where he is, in heaven.
Often in times of grief, I find comfort reading the spoken words of Mother Teresa, she certainly had a way with words and in my opinion, often spoke about the essential topics in life.
I came across the following passage and immediately thought of Paul;
“Be the living expression of God’s kindness – kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.”
Truly the personification of Paul.

Sue and Family,
How truly sorry we were to hear of Paul's passing. Paul will never be forgotten. His life on earth may have ended but his memories that he left
behind will warm our hearts for a lifetime. His smile was contagious, his compassion never waivered, his love for his family was endless. To the best 'flag man' for our girls soccer team, Paul never hesitated to pick up that flag and run the sidelines and boy was he fast and watch out because when Paul waved that flag he did it with gusto and fairness and dedication. God needed the BEST so he took Paul and now Heaven is a better place because he is there running the sidelines for God. Rest our friend, you will never be forgotten, a gentleman to the very end. GOD BLESS YOU PAUL...

Paul approached my wife one day in her Jeep as he noticed the USMC vanity tag on the front, inquiring as to who was the Marine in the family. My wife, Michelle responded, " my husband ",whereas his reply was "Be proud of him". Although I did not get to meet the man in person, will always think fondly of him and his service to our country. No Marine has a greater Navy friend than a Corpsman. God Bless you and your family. Sincerely, Paul G. & family.

I have to the fondest memories of you putting on my brother's little expandable roller skates and playing with all of us in the middle of the street. Everyone was in stitches! The world is a greater place because you were here and we are so lucky to have been a part of your life. My heart aches for your wonderful wife and children. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Paul Morgan was my mentor and friend. I am the successful Chief today because of him. I have always asked myself: What would Master Chief Morgan do? Honor, Courage,and Commitment, the cornerstones of the United States Navy. Paul lived these each and every day, as well as one other, Compassion. I served with Paul for 13 years, in 4th Dental Battalion, and 4th Medical Battalion in Iraq, and witnessed his rare qualities time and again. Paul was always the Master Chief that was to be immulated, the Master Chief that watched after all of his junior troops, assuring each and every one was mentored and watched over. I cannot think of enough words to say about Paul. The close relationship we had was something no one could break. Paul was Paul. We all say the same things, about how kind he was, go out of his way for anyone even if he just met the person, Gentleman, friednly, always smiling, caring, worrying about his family and everyone else (except worrying about himself), would never hurt anyone, stop to help someone who looked like they needed it, stop four or five car lengths to let a person walk across the street, make us laugh, be there if we had a crisis, always tell about how much he loved his country, and on and on and on... My family will miss him, as they always loved the way he took of them when I couldnt take care of them when I got sick.. He would say to me, if you need anything, call me, I dont care if it free (that was his polish way of saything three) O'Clock in the morning, just call me..I know he would do anything for you too..He would never let race, color, creed or nationality get in the way.. People would be stranagers and Paul would be the first one to try and figure it out what they needed, and make us laugh when he was doing it...My heart was broken when I recieved the call from Sue to tell me of his passing. I felt helpless, but as Paul would be telling me, you are going to be okay, that was Paul. I can write more and more about Paul, as I have so many good memories of him. I loved Paul, he was one of my closest friends in this world and I am definitely going to miss him. I would also want his family to know, that they will always be in my our hearts and please dont hesitate to call upon us for anything. Paul would have done the same for us. In closing, I want to say Paul it has been an honor and my pleasure to have chosen you as my true friend. I love you and will miss you from the bottom of my heart. And when I hear the words, Roger That, I will know that Paulie Boy is looking over me and I will smile back.Forever in our hearts...

Mother Teresa's Anyway Poem
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
[Reportedly inscribed on the wall of Mother Teresa's children's home in Calcutta, and attributed to her.
Mother Theresa- " No matter the extaordinary degree of difficulty, Paul "Did It Anyway."
