Dear Nancy,

We met some 10 or 12 years ago at Schiffer Antiques or at your house. I do not remember the ocassion but you and Peter were there.

Peter and I were at Haverford School together some 55 years ago in kindergarten and we were good friends then. I believe Peter left after the second grade.

I have fond memories of Peter, even at that young age and my mother Jean Merriman and Peter's mother were friends at the time.

Please know how saddend I am to learn of Peter's death.

With deepest sympathy.

As one of Peter's authors' I was so
shocked when I recieved the letter of his passing. Peter's passion for books was instrumental for me in choosing Schiffer Publishing. How strange that being an author, I am at a loss for words. I send my deepest sympathy to Nancy and family. What a great loss, a dear friend and a patron of author's.

We are shocked and saddened by Peter's sudden passing. Peter was a man of dignity, humor and genuine kindness. I will always treasure the thought of him basting his roasted pig for the annual Schiffer picnics. His passion for books, art and life made him a unique and interesting man. We send our sympathy to Nancy and to his family.
