PETER SHIELDS Obituary
PETER F., on July 20, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine (nee McMahon) Shields, loving father of Mary Beth (Mike) Frein, Gerri (Jim) Marino, Peter (Christine), James (Teresa), Brian (Katie), Martin (Mary), Patricia and Matthew (Elizabeth) Shields. Grandfather of 19, brother of Marie Leneweaver, Dorothy Wines and John Shields. Family and friends are invited to his Viewing Friday 5 - 8 P.M., Saturday 9:30 A.M. and to participate in his Funeral Mass 10:30 A.M. all at St Philip Neri Church. Int. Calvary Cem. Donations in Pete's name to either St Philip's Church, 437 Ridge Ave., Lafayette Hill Pa. 19444 or St John's Hospice, 1221 Race St., Philadelphia, PA 19107 would be appreciated by his family.

Dear Shields family, Pete and Geri were two of our favorite customers at Crane's in Roxborough back in the day. They always came in smiling and left smiling even more :-) We all really enjoyed seeing and getting to know your parents and know your mom will be happy to be with your dad again. MY SYMPATHIES TO PETE`S FAMILY. I HAVE A NICE STORY ABOUT PETE, WE HAD LAUGHS ABOUT IT FOR NEARLY 60 YRS, PETE HAD A CAR FOR SALE IN 1953, AND I WENT TO LOOK AT IT ON A SUN, IT WAS PARKED ON A VERY NARROW STREET, PETE WAS ASKING 150.00 FOR IT WHILE I WAS KICKING THE TIRES ON THIS 47 PLY. A CAR RACED DOWN THE STREET AND RIPPED THE BACK FENDER CLEAN OFF, PETE TURNED TO ME WITHOUT HESITATION AND SAID HOW ABOUT 125.00, I SAID O.K. WE HAD FUN WITH THAT STORY FOR NEARLY 60 YRS.
