Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss Mary and Elizabeth. Please know your entire family are in our constant thoughts and prayers. Pete was a good friend growing up. I will always remember the good times we had. He is still the only person I know that could pull off putting a dead fish in backseat of a car and I was not able to find it. Rest in peace Pete I know you are in better place now.

Pete was a loyal and humble man. Behind his hardened and hilarious exterior was a caring and loving individual. I know because I felt it through the years.

I remember working with Pete and Rich Conley a few summers ago. The task at hand involved Pete and I in a boom lift suspended 40 ft and articulated between electrical wires while grinding mortar between granite block on Drexel University's campus. As a summer sub, out of my element and working up high with growing concern about Pete's competence in operating such a mechanical device, but also hoping to still carry my weight, I casually hinted it was going to take some time for me to get use to this. That's all it took for Pete to immediately lower the lift and quietly demand that I work from below.

Behind this small story about Pete is the big story - and deep and long-running stories - about him. Pete cared. He cared about all those he loved in the same quiet and humble (also loud and cantankerous too - I can hear his rebel yell, Ya kiddin' me!!! at any time in my mind) way.

I will unfortunately miss this guy, but I consider myself very fortunate to have been a small part of his life.

Thanks for all you did and were for me, my brother, and my family through the years, Pete.

Liz and Mary, I am thinking of you during this trying time.

Very truly yours,

Paul Dale
