RALPH R SHUPARD III

SHUPARD RALPH R., III Age 94, of Havertown, formerly of Broomall, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025. As a child, Ralph went to the Elementary School in Broomall. He then went on to graduate from the Marple Newtown High School in 1949. Ralph was a former member of the Boy Scouts of America and a Volunteer Fireman in the Broomall Fire Company. He also played many sports including a run in Semi Pro Football. Ralph went on to the U.S. Army where he served our country in the Korean War. A proud recipient of many Korean War Medals including a Purple Heart in 1952, Ralph was honorably discharged in 1954. He enjoyed traveling the USA, fishing and liked watching football, the Phillies and old westerns on TV. He retired from PNC Provident National Bank in 1998. Prior to that he worked for CR Lange Reality, Brant Reality, Boulevard Mortgage Company and Gulf Oil, where he met his wife and enjoyed 50 years of marriage before her passing in 2008. Ralph is predeceased by his loving wife, Sylvia "Sandy" Hammond and brothers, Elwood M. (Katherine) and Howard (Tacie) Shupard. He is survived by and loving father of Linda (Peter) Rollo and Ralph R. (Judith Ann) Shupard, IV, Pop-Pop Shupard of Mary Marguerite (Justin) Shupard and Christopher R. Shupard, brother Arthur E. (Martha) Shupard, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving companion Anna Wright.
