RAYMOND J. LODISE

LODISE RAYMOND J., MD Of Huntingdon Valley, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the age of 98. Raymond was born to Mary (nee Stango) and Michael Lodise. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary (nee Monahan); his children, Raymond, Jr. and Karyn; his grandson, Michael; siblings, Michael (Michaelene) and Mary Ann Lentz; and sister-in-law, Polly Ann. Raymond was preceded in death by his son, John in 2000 and his brother, Anthony in 2021. Raymond was born in North Philadelphia in 1927 and graduated from Northeast High School. Raymond then served our country as Hospital Apprentice First Class in the US Navy, and studied Chemistry at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. Medical School at Jefferson Medical College would follow, earning Raymond his doctorate in 1959. Raymond dedicated over 50 years of his life to the pursuit of healing and just medical causes. As an advocate for medical insurance reform, Raymond served as the President of the Philadelphia County Medical Society, and was awarded the David S. Cristol, MD Award for his outstanding contributions and unselfish dedication. Raymond's life of service also included providing medical care and forensic expertise to the Philadelphia Police Department as Police Surgeon. He deeply cared for those who struggled with addiction, and served them by holding directorships at drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation facilities throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Family and friends are invited to Raymond's Life Celebration on Sat. May 3, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton, PA.
