Raymond Lorent Obituary
RAYMOND MICHAEL VINCENT LORENT was called home to the Lord on May 30, 2005. He is the beloved son of Linda (nee Quin) and Raymond Lorent; loving brother of Shannon (Jose) Quesada; dearest grandson of Raymond and Martina Lorent and Justine and George Drumheller; dear uncle of Marissa and Alyssa Quesada; also survived by his dearest love Lauren D'Amore. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Monday morning at 11 A.M. at St. John of the Cross Church, 2801 Woodland Rd. (Roslyn). There will be a Viewing on Monday morning from 9-11 A.M. at the Church. Immediately following the Mass there will be a Procession to the Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn; where a Memorial Tribute will be held. Interment will follow in St. Canicus Cemetery in Mahanoy City PA. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate Donations in Raymond Lorent's memory to the Victim Services Center, 18 W. Airy St, Norristown PA 19401.

I cannot believe it´s been as long as it´s been! It feels just like yesterday we were hanging out at Roslyn Park. You were a genuine person, I always had nothing but the upmost respect for you. Beef and Beer to Benefit the Knights
On May 30, 2005 Ray Lorent, a former Knights player, was tragically killed in Wildwood, NJ while celebrating his high school senior prom. Every year since his death his family has held a Beef and Beer benefit in his name. This year the Lorent family has graciously decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from this year's Beef and Beer to Southampton Knights Football.
The 4th Annual Beef and Beer will be held on Saturday October 18 from 8:00pm - 12:00am at the North Hills VFW Post 676, 2519 Jenkintown Rd, Glenside, PA 19038. There will be raffles, food and a DJ. Tickets are $25.00 per person. Tickets includes admission, door prize entry, food and beverage. The hall will be decorated in purple, black and white in honor of the Knights and celebrating Ray's years with the Knights.
Please contact Ray's sister, Shannon Quesada, for tickets or to make a donation. Tickets will be available at the door as well.

When elders pass we are mostly happy. We are sorry to see them go, but happy for them that this hard hard life is done. They got their reward.But when a young soul dies there's no sense of finish. The candle didn't burn down after glowing all night. A cold wind came through and blew it out long before the dawn.
