To the family of Sister Regina Helene, I just wanted to express know how sorry I am to hear of her passing. She taught me 8th grade at St. Veronica School in North Philly. She was extremely influential in my decision to go on and become a Catholic school teacher.I was a very shy young lady at the time, but she chose me nonetheless to be a reader several times during that year. Doing that helped me to go on to be a lector while I was in high school. As a teacher, she was interesting and I believe most of the kids really liked her. We all knew how much she enjoyed teaching and how much she cared for us. After I left St. Veronica's, she and I kept in touch for a while. I recently had a chance to share with her my feelings via e-mail. Thank you for including the picture showing her with that beautiful smile that I remember so well.

Sr. Regina Helene was a long time influence in my life. She was my principal during my grade school years at Good Shepherd Parish in Southwest Philadelphia. She was a great women, who did much for our community. I remained in touch with Sr. Regina all these years and unfortunately, lost touch in the last few. I am so sorry that I did not get to say good bye.
