RICHARD CREECH

CREECH RICHARD H., M.D. 83, of Foulkeways in Gwynedd, PA died on July 1, 2023. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Charlotte (nee Goetz), daughters; Susan Passman (Brian) and Nancy Cullum, Grandchildren; Chloe and Grace Passman, Kaitlyn and Alexa Cullum, and a sister Joan Kraft. Dr. Creech received a bachelor's degree in 1961 from Johns Hopkins University and continued his education at Penn Medicine and The National Cancer Institute. He began working at the American Oncologic Hospital (AOH) in 1972, which after a merger with the Institute for Cancer Research (ICR) became the Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC). He served as principal investigator at Fox Chase, chief of medical oncology at Temple University Hospital (TUH), adjunct professor of medicine at Temple University and division chief of medical oncology at the TUH. Dr. Creech retired after 22 years as chairman of medicine at the TUH - Jeanes Campus in Philadelphia in 2014. Richard and Charlotte shared a love of traveling the world. They visited all seven continents, enjoying wildlife and local cultures. During this time Richard became an avid photographer. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service to be held on Sat. July 15, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the former Cheltenham Meeting House located on the TUH-Jeanes Campus at 7600 Central Ave., Phila.,19111.
