Still think of you and your kindness to the staff and other personnel. I was new and you were so kind to me. You told me about your sons, wife and doggies. You had so much energy. You are missed by Concorde Staff as well as many others I am sure. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.

I am very saddened to learn of Richie’s loss. I knew Richie when I was a nurse in Philly in the 70’s. He was a brilliant physician and dedicated to knowing all he could know about medicine. I had hoped to stop in and visit on an upcoming trip but sadly see this news. My deepest sympathy to his family. He was a fine man, a good friend and I know a devoted practitioner whos patients will never have another fill his shoes.

Dr. Wallace was a wonderful, kind, gentle and amazing lover of his pets. He would come into work and share videos of his dog and his son's dog playing at the dog park. he loved his family more than life. I miss seeing him pop up into Concorde's office with his happy smiling face. I think of him and his family all the time. I hope you are all well.

I just heard today that Rich had passed. He was the best doctor one could wish for. In today's method of medicine he did it his way providing eye contact, a sense of humor, and love. He provided himself to his patients. I will miss him beyond what could be expressed. Our deepest sympathy to Ellen and his children.

Thank you Rich (Dr. Wallace) for over thirty years of direct, focused health care, and being accessible when issues arose. Your wit, humor, jokes and professional care and courtesy were unsurpassed. I always wondered if Bill Maher was doing my health care, or when watching Bill Maher, whether Rich was doing standup! Doppelgangers!

To Ellen and the boys, we'll share in your grief, and in Rich's absence, and in his commitment to each and everyone of you - we'll miss the boys drawings, and hearing about your daily lives, and of course the commitment to Taney, baseball and the Phillies.

Our very best wishes to all of you and in time as these memories become paramount, the grief wanes, and the love endures.

There are no words,,,,, Doc thank you for all the return calls when I was unable to make it to the office, you made sure I had what I needed until I was able to come to office, I want to thank my friend Eveline for referring me to the Best Doctor ever !! I am saddened I will no longer be coming once a month to hear about the plays, the dogs, your jokes and you listening to whatever was going on with me and family. The best care I have ever received by a professional in the health field I salute you, thanks to your family for sharing you with us. Job well done , sweet peace my Doctor, my friend

When I was one of two scared interns on a medial rotation at Albert Einstein, Rich was my senior resident for 2 months. He taught us every day and shared in the work load. He never treated us in a demeaning way as some of the other 3rd year residents did. One day when I was tired from being up all night on call he sent me home and finished rounding on my patients for me. Of all my senior residents in medicine and ophthalmology he was one of the best.

I have only had the pleasure of working with Dr. Wallace at Concorde. He was very welcoming. He was a kind & loving man. He LOVED his kids more than anything and i watched many videos of his doggies playing at the dog park. I will miss him so much. This is a loss to the community, family, friends and colleagues. RIP Dr. Wallace you were a great man.

We are heartbroken for Dr. Wallace's family and for ourselves. Never to be replaced, is our doctor of more years than we can count. We've admired the man who has cared for us with his compassion and intelligence. They don't make doctors like Dr. Wallace anymore. We, too, will miss him.

About 35 years ago I was working in Center City and needed to see a doctor during my short break, I don't remember why. I opened the yellow pages and called each doctor within walking distance to see if I could find an appointment that would fit into this tight window of time. Dr. Wallace had one and this turned out to be one of the luckiest days of my life.

Dr. Wallace was kind, trustworthy, wise and had such patience. He never rushed his patients. He always had the most current medical knowledge and also had the perspective needed to use if effectively. He saw the whole picture. He saw the whole person. He saw me through serious illnesses and the ups and downs of life. Visiting his office felt like checking in with a friend. He had good advice. He listened. One time there was a shortage of flu vaccine and he had me bring my mother (whom he had never met) in for a flu shot because he knew she needed one (he asked) and it was the right thing to do. He always did the right thing quietly and with an open heart.

There is a photo of the Taney Street Dragons and Dr. Wallace being celebrated on the field at a Phillies game in 2014. What a wonderful time that was. I think that if you took all the people Dr. Wallace as helped in his career and life they would fill a stadium and more and everyone would have stories simple or dramatic of how he made things better for them in his quiet personal way. And there would be cheering in celebration of Dr. Wallace and in gratitude for our own luck that he was in our lives. I think the sound would be deafening.

My very deepest sympathy to his family, friends and patients. I am so so sorry for your loss. I miss him too.

We are very saddened to hear of Dr Wallace's passing. He was our doctor since we moved to Philadelphia in 2012. He was a wonderful doctor and human being. He will be missed from our neighborhood. Our thoughts are with his family tonight.

I am truly shattered learning that my friend has passed away. He was my best friend in college and we would visit anytime I was in town. I Watched as he courted Ellen and as his children grew.

True story, he is the only person to have known everyone one of my wives. True story, I was one of the founding members of F.O.O.T. (Fiendish Order of Outlandish Tomfoolery). Rich was the first person I met when I arrived at East Halls at Penn State. We supported each other through our loves and losses - he helping me more then I him. We prepared lox and bagel brunches together at Hillel on Sunday mornings after staying up late Saturday nights watching scary movies. I would join him in the Jefferson Hospital Emergency Room on Saturday nights as he worked through his internships.

Rich had a great sense of humor, which was a blessing to his patients. And he was one of the first internists in Philadelphia to work the HIV epidemic when others turned their backs in fear.

So I send my love to The family , and the community of patients that Rich cared for. With love.
