I am one of Robert Sink's great grandchildren. Robert Sink was known as Poppy to me. He was a wonderful person, father, peacemaker, and example. But he was especially a wonderful grandfather to all of his grand and great grandchildren. There is nothing you could say but wonderful things about him. He always put a smile on our faces when we arrived to the shore house. He was always caring and there to make us laugh when we were sad. He was a tough man never afraid to follow his dreams. He got through hard times with a smile on his face. He was a gentle man and something he often said was, “A still tongue is a wise head”, pointing out to always find the good in others and never say unkind things. He not only said this but he lived by it. Poppy was a great person and he will never be forgotten. Although poppy will be missed we know that he is in a better place with God.
