The quality of the woman Roz was

is demonstrated by the quality of the family she and Leonard created.

I really miss my mother-in-law Roslyn Solomon. From the first day I met my "Mom" (I felt much more comfortable with "Mom", rather than calling her Roz) to the last days, she was always upbeat and postive.

She truly cared about what was going on with the grandkids and Shelly & I.
I still cannot believe thats it. It is very hard to see someone so special leave us so fast.

I can still hear the "how are those beautiful children" and can I make you something to eat?" ringing in my ears when I think of her. In her own special way she will always be with us all. Mom really was the most postive and calm person I knew.

My memories will always be happy when I think of Mom. I am lucky to have enjoyed a relationship with a wonderful mother-in-law. When I see Shelly, there is a special glimpse of her Mom inside her. She touched so many lives around her. Married over 50 years! Having her Mom at almost 100 her whole life, her family and friends that can fill a small stadium
More grandchildren than most can ever wish. (she did not forget names or mix them up...I mix up my own kids from time to time!) She was the voice of reason in all her children's lives.

If she can see us, she must be smiling at all the love and caring we all have for her.

Love, Bill

Roz was the ultimate "sweet lady." She represented FAMILY in the biggest way and that's the way I will always remember her.

I am so shocked and sad at Roz's passing. In 1962 I spent a week with Roz and cousin Leonard and their children in Silver Spring, MD. She was so warm and hospitable and kind, and I was so happy that I was able to get to know her. I saw her after that, but distance prevented frequent visits. I'll miss your being here, Roz.

My friends:

Please know that I loved Ros. She was very kind to me, as well as Leonard, and made me feel welcome in her home. When I close my eyes and think back to when we all spent time together, it is among my most cherished memories. Her tan, her relaxed manner, her sense of humor, her interest in your well being. How she embraced her then new experience with transformation. Look at all the beauty and talent she has spawned. It is inspiring. I am disappointed that I did not see her again recently to tell her myself. My very best to all of you.

Love: Mario

Please accept my deepest condolences for the Solomon Family at this time of great and profound grief. I knew Roz to be loving and forgiving. I knew her to be enormously in love with her children and generous with her compassion. And for her children and grandchildren: I wish for your hearts and souls a beautiful experience of her love as your hearts begin to heal. May peace be with you.

I knew Roz from a distance for years, through her partnership with Lenny as a Hunger Project supporter and investor. I just had the opportunity to spend some time with her in her home a few months ago. She was gracious and sweet -- immediately warm and friendly to me. I am sad that she is gone and I will keep Lenny and the Solomon family in my thoughts.

Roz Solomon is that very special woman who quietly goes about her work as wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, community leader and becomes an inspiration to women who follow in her path.

Always a lady, Roz Solomon will be deeply missed.
