Chief Roy Crazy Horse was a tenacious advocate for the people and was a compassionate human being. I am proud to have spent time in his presence when we worked together on community services and energy conservation (weatherization) programs. I keep his legacy alive by telling his story to my children. God bless all.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Chief Roy through the Department of State/Office of Ethnic Affairs-I worked there for many years and we had the pleasure of doing many Ethnic Festivals at Liberty State Park together, I was honored to be a part of the ground breaking ceremony at the Reservation, we held a board meeting there and I attended many of his festivals which were a wealth of experience and education - I will miss him but will never forget him-I hope his family has peace of heart and know that he has made a difference in the way people view the American Indian ---God Bless-

I was sorry to hear of the passing of Chief Crazy Horse. We have known each other since 1945. We often spoke of the old days in West Philadelphia. May his visions for Native people continue for future generations. He will be sorely missed.

I will remember Chief Roy as someone who was determined that Indian people in New Jersey, past and present, be treated with respect. As an archaeologist, I sometimes worked with him on the difficult task of looking after Indian burials discovered during work on development projects. My colleagues and I learned a lot from him, and he will be missed.
