SEAN McQUAID Obituary
SEAN, 53, of Bedford, VA, formerly of Phila., PA., passed suddenly, on March 22, 2014. Sean is survived by his mother, Barbara Polsky and her husband Harold Polsky of Bedford, VA, his grandfather Henry Leibrand of Phila., PA, his brothers Robert McQuaid and family, Arthur Tyas and family Jeffrey Tyas and family, his sisters Denise Tyas Shields and family, Beth Tyas and family, Sharon Schultze, his Aunt and Uncle Beverly and Ronald Reese and family, step-siblings Donna Hughes and family, Deneen Tizol and family, Dawn Schultze and family and Joseph Schultze and family, all of Phila., PA. Visitation will be at Forest Hills Chapel, Byberry Rd and Philmont Ave, Phila., PA on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 10-11 A.M. Interment to follow immediately at Forest Hills Cemetery. The Family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a fund to help defray final expenses. Donations can be made at any Woodforest National Bank or by mail to Woodforest National Bank, 1126 E Lynchburg Salem Tpke, Bedford, VA 24523 by a deposit to A/C #1371331602

He was a kind and caring man. Ping pong champion at the schmitz house. Someone who seen the beauty in the things others passed by and didn't even see. An angel in heaven. Prayers to the family for healing.

I worked with Sean at J.C. Meyer & Son, Typographers, Philadelphia, PA, from 1986 to 1989. I remember Sean as a very nice and intelligent person. May he rest in peace.

I've known you since 1990 Sean McQuaid Tyas. I will always remember the people and things you introduced me to. I would not be such a big fan of the space program if it wasn't for you and you personally introducing me to many of the original moon astronauts. We will meet again someday my friend. I know it. As I wipe these endless tears, I know you will break all bicycling endurance records in heaven you tried breaking on Earth. Rest in peace my dear friend. You're in the stars now... where you always wanted to be. Thanks for being there for me when others haven't. RIP. My condolences to the family.
