POND SUSAN COLLIE Age 84, died peacefully March 23, 2023 in Philadelphia. Loving mother to Christin and David (Allison), gamma to 4 adoring grandchildren Keagan, Henry, Alexandra, and Sydney. Susan was pre-deceased by her parents Wayne and Dorothy Collie, sister Marilyn Greene, stepfather Carlton P. Morris, her first husband George S. Pond and her second husband, Dr. Thomas K. Theodore. Susan was born and raised in Shaker Heights, OH, and began college at Ohio Wesleyan University where she met George. She transferred to Boston University so he could attend law school. She graduated from BU with a BS in Early Childhood Education and began her career teaching nursery school. Upon his graduation, they moved to Philadelphia. Susan would later earn her Master's degree in Group Dynamics and Human Behavior from Temple University where she met her second husband, Tom. Susan, with her quick wit and vibrant sense of humor, was a powerhouse in the field of management consulting. She was an early advocate of equal pay and C-Suite representation for women in the workplace. She was also a gourmet chef, an animal lover, an avid gardener, a voracious reader, and a seasoned traveler. She will be missed most by her immediate family-her cousin Nancy Williams (Tom), her stepsister Susan Bassett (Randy), her niece Leann Greene and her beloved women's group of 50+ years. Susan donated her body to science. For the next 18 months she will serve her community and the beautiful young minds that succeed her, by allowing herself to be a teaching assistant in the anatomy lab of Drexel's College of Medicine. A Memorial Service will be announced at the conclusion of her Drexel assignment. Susan would appreciate everyone's effort to understand and treat all forms of dementia.

I met Susan through mutual friends about 15 years ago. Lucky me! She made suggestions to my reading list, cooked great food for Girl's Weekend in Sea Isle, shared her knowledge and sense of humor. We kept in touch in later years through the mail and birthday lunches. I will keep her alive in my mind and heart.
