I was thinking back on my childhood, as far back as 1969, when Susan was appointed to be my big sister during difficult times in my teen years, I can remember her being a role model in my life at that time, who I looked up too, we had fun times.and many laughs when I was in her company, I can recall her taking me on car rides to her parents home, and also to go see horses, it saddens me to see that she has passed, as I looked her up to thank her for the impact she had in my life as a teen, sending my sincere condolences to her family.

Steve, Laura, and Stephanie,

Sue touched our family in 03 ways through VARIG, as both Julie and I knew and worked with her for many years, and my mother met her at a Trade Show in the Wilkes-Barre area, doing her VARIG thing.

Sue was always fun, and her laugh was unmistakeable. I have pictures that I will send to you from the VARIG reunion in NYC a few years ago, that I know you will enjoy seeing.

With our Sincere Sympathy,

Minicucci

Dearest Steve, Laura and Stephie,
It is hard to believe that her energy, laughter, love for life and care for others, will not be touched by all those who had yet to meet her.
Sweet Laura and Stephie, you have in you all of her and this gift will be in your souls forever to share with others.
I will never forget our laughs while we rushed through Greece for...the weekend or the glimmer in her eyes when she was asked why she wore two different kinds of earings!
The trip we took to Brazil with our children to start the orphanage she so cared about.
Steve, you and the girls are
in our prayers may you find solace in her memory.

Dear Stephen , Laura and Stephanie,
We are so sorry for your loss. Susan, our FLUFFY, was always so full of life and for that reason it is difficult to believe that she is no longer with us.
You always knew Susan's presence was in the room because of her hearty laughter. There was always a smile on her face.
A very special Susan moment occured during one of Varig's sales meeting in Recife. The meeting was held during the THANKSGIVING holiday and it was then that Susan taught the Brazilians the meaning of this holiday.
Her presentation touched all of our hearts and we are so thankful to have that memory of Susan.

Dear Family & Friends of Sue,
My deepest sympathy in the sudden lose of your wife, mom, and our wonderful VARIG colleague. Sue was one of the happiest and most positive friend I have known. She was always 'up.' I have some wonderful memories of her laughter and humor on life. She has enriched a huge circle of humanity, and we are all the better for knowing Sue. She will be missed. Robert Neuman

Dear Stephen, Laura & Stephanie,

It was with heartfelt sadness that I learned of Sue’s passing. I had the privilege of working with your wife/mom at VARIG for many years. I don’t remember the year, but once we actually flew all together to RIO. I was the one that was playing GAMEBOY on the plane. We arrived in RIO and went outside for a walk on Copacabana. The first thing Sue did was to gather about 10 street kids and feed them at one of the outdoor restaurants. She then sent Stephanie and Laura up to the Hotel to get clothes that she had packed to give to these kids. I have never forgotten that trip because her actions touched my heart so deeply. Sue was a wonderful co-worker and truly the funniest and most warm hearted friend. She will be missed.

Steve, Laura, and Stephie,

I was shocked when I received the notification. Please accept my deepest and most heartfelt condolences for your loss. I traveled several years ago to Brazil with Sue. It was one of my most entertaining business trips. You couldn't be near Sue without laughing as she had her own very special comedic talent. She told me to remember her as the Jewish Yenta of Varig Airlines, the employer we both shared for many years. Throughout our trip of about 18 employees, I could still see her and Meredith (also Varig) deep in conversation and laughter, and I remember thinking: "those two sure have a lot to say to each other." Well, Sue - now you are chatting simultaneously with thousands up there in the heavens. I know you must be looking down at your friends and family and saying: "Meet you here sometime so the conversation can continue." Sue: Just know that our family went through this not quite 3 years ago when my girls' Dad passed away suddenly. Letting go of our loved ones surely is one of the hardest things we must do on this side of the world. Sue - just remember, our crowd from Varig Airlines --we would like a wine and cheese party upon our arrival when we join you, please. Until then, we will miss you dear friend! For all the years we exchanged shop talk - you are hard to forget!

Dear Steve, Laura and Stephie,
I cannot imagine the pain you are going through, my words of comfort seem so inadequate and futile. May it help to know that so many friends are sharing the sorrow in your hearts.

My life is made up of a most wonderful patchwork of friends - your wife; your mother is one of the brightest, warmest, riotous, humorous and most exceptional pieces of material in my quilt! I love her and always will.

I was shocked to hear about Sue. I had the pleasure of working with her for 5 years at Varig in the 80's and will always remember being able to laugh with her and hearing her love for Steve and her daughters.

My deepest sympathies to Sue's family. She will always be remembered.

When she was growing up, Susan was at our house all the time; she and her family were an important part of our family; and we all did nothing but laugh. These cherished memories are irreplaceable. Just think of how lucky the angels are to have her sense of humor there!

I am so sad. Susan, Pricilla and I--who shared so many funny times spending Friday nights together from 5th grade on--had just planned to have lunch when I came to Philadelphia. Everyone loved Susan's wry take on life, her exhuberance, poise and sense of loyalty.
She sucked in and appreciated the essence of every single day. She will be missed and thought of with great fondness and love. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Maxine Sokol Champion

Sue was one of the best persons I have ever met. She was WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get!) and further proof that only the good die young. I was privilaged to work with her at Weichert and she was always a pleasure to collaborate with or just be around. Full of kindness, she helped me and my family through our own tragedy a couple years ago. We remanded good friends; and, sadly now, even planned to have lunch next week. My sincere and deepest sympathy to Steve and family. We will all miss her profoundly and remember her fondly. I'm sure she is already cracking them up in Heaven! God bless and take care of you, Sue.

Steve, Laura and Stephanie, There are no words. Brad and I are still in shock as I know you are. My memories of Sue will be that she was so full of life. She always had a story to tell and always cracked me up. It was so obvious how much she adored you all and cherished her friends. She will be missed terribly and when I think of her, I will always hear her laugh. Promise you will not hesitate to call me if you need anything. I will keep all of you in my prayers.
