Tom was my friend we worked together for 5 years and we instantly became buddies, we talked about everything and laughed a lot and he was just a really good man. He loved his family and always talked about his wife. Whenever I knew I was working with tom I knew I was going to have a good day no matter what the job required that day. Tom I'm going to miss you my friend our good times will always live with me. To the family my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Tommy and I only met about 5 years ago when I was a new driver at the Ridley Bus Yard. He showed me the ropes and then basically said "Good Luck". As the years went by we became friends...he was always breaking my stones as I tried to return the favor.
At the onset of his illness, we were competing for the same job. Tommy of course was the better of the two of us.
I worked with him at the yard (almost as an apprentice) until he could no longer do it. Even then afterwards, we would have our visits, Tommy cherished his friends...but he was at his best when he explained his love for his wife and children. Marian topped his list, he said everything in his life was because she shared her life. His sons also made him proud although he did not like to see Paul the "Irish Dragon" fight until it was over.
His granddaughter was his world...he cherished her and loved telling stories about her exploits.
It is those bus yard shed conversations and those visits that I will always remember.
Tommy showed me that there is a personality involved in everyone and although I may not know the story to strive to understand the story.
I love Tom as much as my own brothers...I will miss him deeply...
