It was extreme pleasure to have known Thomas "Cozy" Morley as both a professional colleague and a friend. Although he made his living as a comedian, he and I had some pleasant, albeit, serious, conversations which I will always remember. i truly believed Cozy lived to entertain people and was most happiest when doing so. To remember him is to put a smile on my face. Thanks for all the good times, Cozy. May God grant you rest in peaceful repose. John Primerano.

It's as if those Summers in the 60s, at the Club Avalon, were just yesterday and not more than half a century removed! In an instant I can call to mind jokes I heard Cozy deliver a hundred times and I still shed tears of laughter! At a time when our Nation is so divided I wish God could send Thomas 'Cozy' Morley back to us. If anyone could unite us all in joy and laughter it would be Cozy who did so with every audience on any given night in North Wildwood! Come on Lord send him back.... we really need him......

He was my musical mentor, along side Howie, who would later become my husband. I would get on the phone with him and begin to laugh the moment I heard his voice. He would say, hey hun, how ya doin. Then we would tell each other stories from the club. I miss him desperately . Denise Black aka Denise DeFelice aka Denise Reynolds

In addition to being one of the most talented people to ever walk the planet, Cozy was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Every time we'd see each other, either at a performance or just on the street, he was such a consistently cheerful person that would always light up my day. I love you Cozy and you'll certainly be missed, BIG TIME. God Bless you, your family and may you rest in peace. George Young, an old music buddy.

We all viewed Cozy in a slightly different way. Sort of like a Pie that was cut up, we all had a slightly different perspective. I am who I am from being at the club every night. I studied him and later in years he gave me pointers that I still use today on the bandstand. On the occasion of my marriage, When Mayor Polombo asked for the rings, Cozy took that as an opportunit to make the crowd laugh. I will never forget WHERE he said he kept our rings. Cozy was the greatest! There wasn't a better night's entertainment to be found on earth than at the Club Avalon, in the 1960s, with Cozy cracking the jokes – each one funnier than the one before even if you were hearing it for the 100th time - and Joe Baris and the Winged Victory Singers raising the roof. Cozy made you laugh so hard you cried, and now we're just crying, but the memories live on and so the laughter will always be there. Thanks for the memories and God bless you Cozy. I'll never forget you.

My Dad grew up with Cozy in South Philly and Dad thought the world of him. Any time we walked in and Cozy was on he would stop mid act and say hello. Once he stopped his show when he saw me get up for the restroom and did play by play of my trip there and back! Embarrassing at the time, but I look back now and laugh. He was a lovely, kind man who will be missed!

Whenever I heard your name I laughed...yesterday I cried. I've known you for maybe fifty years. At age ten, going to Wildwood didn't mean going to the beach, it meant going to see Cozy Morley. You are the reason I became a comedian. You were so nice to me. But then, you were nice to everybody. The word 'gentleman' couldn't be more appropriate, you were a gentle man. And you were a great entertainer. You made people happy. And that's why we loved you. Your jokes made people laugh, but it was your warmth that made you a legend. I will treasure the picture of us together on the front page of The New York Times forever. And I will do what you asked of me, as I have for almost forty years. With love and respect. Tommy Moore

Cozy, you will always be remembered by me and my family as my parents FAVORITE comedian...They couldn't wait to get to WW by the sea, to take us to Club Avalon and laugh at all the funny things you said about your club...you were so funny but never in a mean way...5 years ago I stayed @ 2nd and Central and was sitting on my step and you walked by and started talking to us...it took me a few minutes to place that face...lo and behold, you were telling jokes in the next sentence and you left us sitting there laffing...May Gods light shine on you as you made the world a better place. Say Hi to my Mom and Dad please.

I am honored to be a fellow "Two Streeter" and proud to have come from the same parish as Cozy. Summer vacations in Wildwood were never complete without my parents and Aunt and Uncle's visit to the "toilet". They'd laugh about it for days. My Aunt went to Sacred Heart parochial school with Cozy and when he saw her in the audience he'd include her in his act.

Cozy....On Thursday, when we visited your statue and then were thrilled to find a teeshirt bearing the words to "On the Way to Cape May", we never dreamed you would be gone so soon. Ironically, we have been watching your online videos and singing your songs in the last few weeks. We are indebted to you for so many times you had us laughing hysterically. Morley Family; I am so sorry for your loss. Cozy was not just a GREAT Comedian and Musician ; he was a good person a gentleman. My family spent many summers in Wildwood and I can tell you a summer was not complete until we made a trip or two to the Club Avalon to see Cozy. He often referred to it as (a toilet) but it was really a gathering place for folks who wanted some good, fun (clean too). My wife and I were on a cruise several years ago and Cozy was on board as part of the entertainment. When he wasn't on stage, he was all over the ship talking to people and just being as friendly as could be. He was a one of a kind; an old saying goes" death leaves a heartache that no one can heal; LOVE leaves memories that no one can steal. Cozy Morley was LOVED.
