I was just looking online for a job desiring to return to Penn and thought of Dr. LiVolsi. It was a shock to learn of her passing. She was one of the best employers I have ever worked with. I totally enjoyed every moment of our time together. If circumstances didn't warrant me moving out of state, I would probably have remained her Department Secretary until this day. She will most definitely be missed.

I in the ORs, Virginia in surgical Path. The lunch trough was juxtaposition to both ... a place to have a warm lunch and sit together w hospital friends and colleagues from every level. Not unusual for the Hosp CEO and senior execs to show. Much was discussed at these tables, decisions made, new directions taken, nuances discussed. But most of all the social exchanges and human interactions made the trough a daily welcome. The trough is closed w opening of the new building. Virginia is now gone. Missed those moments by so many.

I have known Dr. LiVolsi since 1987, having worked with her in the CHTN for > 30 years. I am so very saddened to learn of her death. She was a delightful person, and we always enjoyed comparing notes about our beloved cats! Hugs and condolences particularly to her CHTN Eastern Division family.

The passing of Virginia LiVolsi, a remarkable pathologist, leaves a profound void. As my mentor and teacher, her guidance shaped my journey in ways immeasurable. I owe her a debt of gratitude for what I've achieved. Her legacy will forever inspire and resonate within those fortunate enough to have learned from her.
