Bill was always a welcome addition to our teacher friends lunch get together. He listened to our chatter and added his words of wisdom as needed. He will be missed but not forgotten.

I am so very sorry about Bill's passing. Jo Ann has been his strength for many years. Bill loved his students and strived to help all of them succeed.
Love to his family.

I wanted to share my memories of my older brother Bill. He was considered the super intelligent one of four kids by all. As child under the age of 12, he and his also brilliant cousin Arnie decided to take a "walk" together, got lost and were found safe somewhere near the airport over 18 miles away from our west Philly home! As the oldest, my parents took endless pictures and videos of him as a baby. They became labeled the "Billy Films" that we jokingly crawled out of the room at family gatherings to avoid long hours of seeing him crawl, eat, and smile. As the oldest of four, he became the protector of his siblings and he handled any bully attempts on us. He literally saved the day with me by teaching me college physics. His tutoring style was to make down to earth sense out of complicated scientific theories. Bill, or Billy as we knew him, came from a huge Italian family, particularly on the maternal style. He loved the often held huge family gatherings in Delran, New Jersey. He was brilliant and kind, a unique combination. As kids, our father took us four kids, and his Aunt Marie took him with her to Philly professional sports events. He became a lifetime fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies. He loved our childhood rescue dog, Kimmy. And that love of dogs lasted his entire life. He always scored very high grades in national tests, but he was so humble about his intellectual gifts. In Texas he met and married the love of his life, Joe Ann, his wife for over 50 years. Their two sons, Mark and John, gave them many wonderful grandchildren. They were the light of Bill's life. As a very dedicated teacher in Texas, he partnered with NASA in Houston and found a pathway for scholarships for his students to attend his alma mater, Drexel University. He was very passionate about politics, a family trait. He grew up trying to help others who might be struggling. He readily shared love and support for others. The best way I can describe him is extremely intelligent, programmed by our parents to make a difference by lifting up those facing challenges, with a modest and unassuming soul. He was gifted, but very humble.
The pictures above show Bill from infant, to educational child tv star back in black and white TV days of three stations. Other included photos are taken throughout his childhood. Our first photo shoot together is me at 3 months old, held by him. I will cherish our many memories together forever.

My deepest condolences go out to you, Joe Ann, as well as to all of your family. Bill was a devoted husband; I recall the first time I met him over a decade ago (on the back porch of your unique and beloved Conroe home) he voiced how his greatest concern was being sure he could take care of you - both at that time and in the future. God bless all of you. Bill´s was a life well lived!

I remember my cousin Billy as we knew him. My parents took us to Billy´s mom (Aunt Vittina ) and his dad´s (Uncle Pinny) house in New Jersey for family get togethers. My mom was Aunt Vittina´s sister. He was a quiet and gentle young man. I am amazed at all he accomplished in his life. I would have loved to read his books. May he rest in peace and May God Bless his family.
