William John Gatti Obituary

Gatti William John, II April 4, 1952 – Dec. 15, 2025 William John Gatti II, 73, beloved husband and devoted father and grandfather, left this world just before dawn on December 15, 2025. Bill was born in Philadelphia on April 4, 1952 to William Jules Gatti I and Ruth "Dolly" Hahn. The second of five children, William was raised in Drexel Hill where he attended St. Bernadette School and Monsignor Bonner High School and went on to study accounting at Drexel University. Standing on the steps outside St. Bernadette, Bill caught the attention of a neighborhood girl, Deborah Marinari, at age 11. In high school they became sweethearts, married in 1971 and established a longtime home in Havertown, PA. Finding his niche in construction sales, he established what would become a lifelong endeavor, his eponymous business, Gatti Morrison Construction Services, with friend and business partner Dave Morrison. Their flagship location opened in a small warehouse in King of Prussia in 1992, and has since grown to three locations, serving concrete contractors throughout the tri-state region. It was not his business acumen that he will be remembered for only, but his unassuming nature and open-hearted devotion to God, his family and friends that defined his life. He was a mentor to many, a genuine listener and someone who believed in positivity and loyalty. His greatest joy was his role as a father of five, and then, to his absolute glee, as a "Pop Pop" to fifteen grandchildren who adored him. The dawn of each day will be different for all of us without Bill. He will live on in our hearts, in the laughter of his grandchildren, and in every moment where his family gathers to celebrate the legacy he began. Bill is survived by his wife, Deborah Ann Gatti (Marinari), his children William Jules II (Jennifer), Christian (April), Michael (Tiffany), Andrew (Patricia), Elise (Christopher), his grandchildren William John III, Carolyn, Nicholas, Justin, Isabella, Ethan, Sophia, Daisy, Julian, Peter, Evangeline, Benjamin, Joseph, Lucas and Francis, his siblings Rosa (Jim), Sylvan (Lara), Juliette (Jim), and Gabrielle (Stephen) and his beloved dog Lucy. He is predeceased by his parents William Jules I and Ruth Hahn. A Viewing will be held Sunday, December, 21 St from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. at the MAUGER-GIVNISH FUNERAL HOME, 24 Monument Ave., Malvern, PA 19355. A second Viewing will be held Monday, December 22nd from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick's Church, 104 Channing Ave., Malvern, PA 19355.
