I had been trying to contact him and was worried when I heard nothing back. I am very sorry to hear of his passing and wish to pass on my condolences to any family. He was proud of his association with the Library Company, in which he he owned a share, and attending events at the American Philosophical Society.

Will was my family's stock broker at Olde. He was a warm, kind and soft spoken professional -- something you don't find in the brokerage industry. He became a family friend and came to my parents' Christmas/New Year's Party almost every year in the 1980s. It cannot be overstated what a gentle soul he was. And, when it came to parties, he always lit up the room. RIP.

Smart, generous, hospitable, thoughtful, and stylish: all that was Will. He was a delight to volunteer within so many settings. He made t all fun. And who knew that he was a past backgammon champion at the Racquet Club?! He applied his gifts and expertise on behalf of such a range of organizations and institutions. I appreciated his efforts while he was working with Partners for Sacred Spaces in restoring the iconic tower of Saint Peter´s Presbyterian Church in Spencertown, New York. He also provided a superb role model for the love of a devoted uncle, something that struck me powerfully , as an only child. I cherished his prayers for me in my cancer fight, knowing his sincere faith. He will be missed in so many ways.

He made me look good on the dance floor. Any champagne he poured tasted expensive. He wore white tie, tact, and sympathy better than anyone I have ever known. Save the next tango for me, Will.
