I cannot believe its been three years already. Ive so missed my chats with Ziggy, one of the finest men Ive had the honor to have known in my life. God bless you Ziggy, you are sorely missed by those of us who knew you here on this earth.

Ziggy, I just found out about your passing. Even though I haadn't flown R/C airplanes in 15 years, you called me several times a year just to shoot the breeze. And I always enjoyed your WW II stories!
When I first joined the NE R/C club in 1989, you were the one who taught me to fly; you even had the bravery to sign me off as a pilot!
And you were funny too. Whenever I flew a new plane successfully, you'd usually say "Good job Jim. Just imagine what that plane could do in the hands of a competent pilot!" Always made me laugh.
You were a good man Zig, and a good friend. I will always miss you. My condolences to all your family.

I always enjoyed talking to Ziggy at the flying field. He was most sincere in everything he said and had sound judgment in his beliefs. I loved hearing his war stories. A brave man, a family man. a true American. Rest in Peace.

I offer you all prayer of peace now that Ziggy has gone to be with his beloved Helen, I know he is at peace. Ziggy was a hero to me, an ordinary man who did extra ordinary things. A WW-2 vet who served his country with honor from before the war and all through the war riding in one of the smallest and least armored tanks the USA fielded and he survived some of the toughest battles. I so enjoyed my talks with him this last year or so, they were inspiring. I've known Ziggy since the 80's and I know I will miss him as much as everyone else who knew him, he was a great man and I'm proud to have known him and have him call me his friend as I called him the same. God bless you sir, you deserve your rest, you've done your duty to the max. Godspeed.

Ziggy and my father, Frank Slevin, worked on the Reading Railroad together in the 1950's.
I enjoyed talking with him at the RC field.
May he rest in peace.
