Rachael Rowles

1939 - 2025

Rachael Many Rowles, 86, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and a native of Sperryville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025.

Rachael dedicated over 30 years of her career to Potomac Hospital (now Sentara). Hired initially to single-handedly manage the mailing and duplicating department for the entire hospital before the widespread introduction of modern technology, her official job title barely encompassed her immense commitment to her colleagues. She was a beloved figure who knew nearly every member of the hospital community-from staff and doctors to nurses and cafeteria workers-and she cherished the many wonderful friendships she built over the decades.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Rowles.

Rachael is survived by her only son, Gerald (Jerry) Frazier, and his wife, Beverley, of Stafford, Virginia. She also leaves behind two very special and deeply loved granddaughters: Crystal Seal and her husband, Jason; and Kerry Collier and her husband, Alan. She cherished her three great-grandchildren, who were the highlight of her later years: her great-granddaughter, Sierra Frazier, and her two great-grandsons, Cody Collier and Isaiah Seal. Rachael also leaves behind two younger sisters and other beloved relatives.

A private celebration of Rachael's and Jack's life will be held at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.
