April Regina Fields

1970 - 2021

April Regina Fields began her journey home from this world on March 26, 2021. April was born on January 31, 1970 to Cecelia (Ce-Ce) Bowman Fields and William Fields in San Diego, CA. A beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. April loved to cook, fish, and enjoyed riding her bike everywhere. April was a member of the Bishop Paiute Tribe and a descendant of the Navajo Tribe. She is one of the Great- Granddaughters of the late Sam and Amy Harrison of the Bishop Paiute Tribe and the late Sam and Emma Chief Bowman of the Navajo Nation.
April is survived by her parents, siblings, cousins and many aunts, uncles and many, many good friends. She will be remembered for her cheerful outgoing nature and just enjoying life and people. She was a true friend to those that knew her as such, she could always be found laughing and joking with someone. April never met a stranger.
April was a lifelong student and she loved learning new skills; her most recent accomplishment was obtaining her Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Licensing. She was employed with the Paiute Palace Casino, Smart and Final and Toiyabe Indian Health Project just to name a few.
Private funeral services have been arranged in San Diego, CA on April 17, 2021 where her family will spread her ashes into the Ocean, just as she wanted. April loved the ocean and as a child could be found always looking for the highest wave to jump into, which was true to her nature. She will be missed by many and it is our hope that her time here on earth made a difference. The family would like to say Thank you to all those who have reached out during this time of mourning.
