Bernadine Rose "Barney" Connor

1925 - 2024

Barney Rose Connor (née Richardson), 98, of Big Pine, CA, passed away on April 12, 2024. Born in Swanson, Ohio on November 29, 1925, Barney was known for her stubborn yet loving nature. She was married to her best friend Ralph Connor for nearly 72 years.
Barney worked in banking until her retirement, after which she and Ralph relocated to Big Pine. There, Ralph pursued a career as a fireman while Barney took on the role of dispatcher. She was actively involved in community events, always ready to assist during the July 4th BBQ
and serving on the board for the Fun Muster.
An avid seamstress and talented artist, Barney enjoyed expressing her creativity through her hobbies. She is survived by her children Janice Webb (Tom), Mike Connor (Dana), Linda Connor, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, and many adopted friends. Barney was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ralph and all nine of her siblings.
Services for Barney will be announced at a later date. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Big Pine Volunteer Fire Department.
