Nathanial "Nate" Michael Landa was born on November 16, 2008, in Bishop CA to his parents Felis Landa Jr and Janelle Sinsabaugh. Nate passed away on November 16, 2025, in Porterville CA.
Nate spent his younger years in
Bishop, CA attending the local schools in the Owens Valley before moving away. Nate was also member of the Bishop Paiute Tribe.
Nate is survived his father and stepmother Felis and Mellyssa Landa, and his mother Janelle Sinsabaugh, Nate's grandfather Dana Sinsabaugh and step grandmother Linda Garcia, and grandmother Cynthia Drake. Nate's siblings are Teegahn, Ha'teya, Xóchitl, Tallula, Adrianne, Arimae Landa, Lukas Vega, Taylani Vega, Cambria Sinsabaugh. Nate has many aunts, uncles, and a lot of cousins.
Nate was the light of his parents' lives, and he was very much loved by his whole family and his friends. He loved anything with wheels, and he was incredibly talented riding a scooter and a bike. He enjoyed going to the skate park to ride as often as he could. He also got great pleasure from making videos riding his bike doing tricks. He loved playing his xbox and listening to music, playing golf, basketball, and football. He was such a friendly young man always able to make friends wherever he went. Everyone always remembered Nate as a genuinely nice and helpful young man and the best big brother to his siblings.
Nate was very close with his grandfather Dana. That was Dana's little buddy; Nate loved his grandfather very much as Dana loved Nate like a son. When Nate visited his mother in Mesquite, NV during summer vacation, Janelle says their time spent together they would always adventure off hiking, renting razors, swimming, shopping, or just doing things they liked doing with each other to make memories. Nate started golfing with his grandpa Dana at incredibly young age, that was something they enjoyed doing together. Nate always just enjoyed riding bikes with his friends and fishing in Nevada.
When Nate moved to Porterville, CA with his father 5 years ago, he quickly was able to start making friends and those friends were like family to him. While his father worked at the Tule River Indian Reservation and Nate spent a lot of time there as well, Nate made even more friends quick. Friends who saw Nate for who Nate really was, a young man that was warm hearted, friendly, and willing to always lend a helping hand where needed.
At a young age Felis started showing Nate his traditional ways and traveled with his work to many places and Nate traveled right along with him learning more and more.
With Nate's passing he has left many people with a hole in their hearts, which shows us all how quick Nate grew on people and how much he was loved. He was a positive influence on many of his friends and was sooo loved by his family.
Rest in peace Nathanial Landa, FOREVER 17!
